How to: Destroyer - Basic Guide 

Great vid guide, I would add one more basic tip: unless you are dedicated AA DD (and even sometimes then!) it pays off to turn off AA (p key) This makes for planes much harder to spot you like 2-3km range usually. If you have any long range aa guns on this immediately jumps to 5+km and while it might net you some plane kills, it will cost you much more in therms of health if any enemy ships use those plane spots to shoot at you.

Good one, maybe also give some hints on such things as torpedo spreads, like shoot always one wide and one narrow spread instead of all narrow all the time or all wide, when to use wide vs narrow spread. Stay safe.

Nice guide for dds, I really appreciate this new playlist and looking forward to more advanced ones! As a main dd in my Clan (clanmate of Metthew form VIS, u know :D), I think that destroyer is the most difficult class to play, expecially mastering the gameplay and the strategy. So, really well done in helping players to get better and improve!!

Always a useful to read these guides from experienced players. Good advice AtotheK. I usually play IJN and you really need to be careful at the beginning of a match because they have been so power crept the last year or so. It seems every new DD line is just better than the IJN. yes they have had to buff them but still, some of these IJN DDs, are just meat for opposing DDs - Fubuki, Akatsuki especially. Not going to grump about it too much but WH needs to look at existing older lines. I am enjoying the European lins currently , they are fun too play (I play my Kagero and Yugumo with TRB so I have had the practice of no smk!

Hi Alex, as allways nice stuff. Perhaps i would have done one thing different: As this is a basic guide and you play a T5 ship, I would have taken a captain with - say - 6 instead of 19 points. Gameplay would have been only slightly different, but a 19 captain feels a little bit dirty: )
