Yeah, that was a great tip. I think I'll use some small paper clips, and when done spraying stick them into a small piece of Styrofoam to hold them while drying.
Thanks man, feels good to give something back for the community, a lot of my friend from my local club are around that age, and they build amazing models, a lot better then me, so I’m looking forward to see yours man
Charles Brown glad you like this video man, I’m always trying to get my engines better and better, none stop with new things and new supplies, hope to see something cool soon from you bro
Thanks for sharing your tips on engine details. I have just finished up a Buick Wildcat not long ago that was mu first fully engine detail. It turned out ok, just used what I had already. Very nice work my friend.
Thanks bro, glad you like it, you can do it, you should see my firsts engines, they’re not even close to this one, I can do it, you can do it man, and I’m still in learning process and new tip every week for me
Nice work Sir. I have been building 1/25th since 1965. Entered first contest in '67 with a fully rigged/wired/lighted KW conventional "Portable Parking Lot" tractor/trailer. Didn't place because there was no catagory for truck but she was sweet and would have placed had there been a catagory. This was in Sylmar/Los Angeles County, CA when I lived there. My detail was similar to yours, with rew exceptions. Of course my hands now are nothing like they were then and I cannot achieve such detail any longer. Great video, but I wondered if there was another video where you show just how plug wires were installed into distributor and heads since this process appears very vague in this video. Good luck, and I will be watching for more interesting videos from you.
Phil Nuttle thank you so mich my friend, unfortunately I don't have another video, but I've been working on a video that shows that and some other good stuff on detailing an engine, hopefully upload that video in the future videos, glad you enjoyed this video and man, you been having fun for so long, I only have like 5 years working on models, and my first show was 4 years ago, looking forward to finish the video to show more helpful stuff
Good video my Brother. Like I said before you have really improved your craft. I enjoy watching your videos brother from Albuquerque New Mexico God bless
Thanks John, but unfortunately I don’t know the gage of that wire, I get it on Michael’s for $3.00 and so far I used on all my build and am not even half way, and I used for hinges too, fuel lines, body clips, radiator brackets mounts, etc, very handy
That would be awesome! Are we still going to the auction on the 22nd? Did you get my form? If so I can just grab some from you then, and if not do you still have my address? Thx. bro!
Thank you my friend, glad you like it, well thank cam say I have a new set of magnifying glasses and they are amazing, I can nor see well at close and with those that can see everything now, cost me 16.00 on amazing and they even came with a LED light, very cool
Hello my friend, you can go to Michael’s or Home Depot and get wires 30 gages and you can find them I. Many colors, Olson you can go to amazing or eBay and get a bunch for like 8 dollars and that will last forever and try to see if they are flat color without gloss, they look more realistic, any other question feel free to ask
I appreciate the help....When placing seats on the floorpan...There is just a single reference line, does that line up with the front or the back of the seat itself
@@MrFlabbybeast that all depends of the kit, sometimes is the front and sometimes is the back of the seat, just put it in place and see if stay steady, is not changed the placement
Well man, on this project I did used a lot of wires, but those are 30 gage crafting wired, they are easy to bend and super handy to shape any way you want, you can get them at Michael's
@@mattcollett2098 No worries my friend, they come like that, well in your case i think you can go to Ebay and get them with more color then you think, low cost
Thanks for watching man, sorry I didn’t mentioned that, I used a real small drill bit and put the wire around it until I got the shape that I wanted, I’m doing a more detail video of detailing an engine explain how to do it, not just showing how it looks, thanks for stopping by
well man, actually no, I don't have a video on a 409 engine, I only tuck pictures of the one a build but I think they don't look detail as I wanted, but if you like send me an email to tortugakustomz@gmail.com and i'll send you HD pics of it, let me know if anything bro
