Eggs, avocados, a bowl of fruits, nuts are all good for keeping you fuller for longer. Also eating full meals, protein, good carbs and loads of vegetables is good. Not eating enough means that you are going to snack more and consume more throughout the day. And exercise, walking is a great calorie buster and good for physical and mental well being. thank you for this video! I'm a med student who's willing to study psychiatry so this topic is really dear to me. The key to a healthy diet isn't restricting (except for some cases). For instance studies show that very low calorie diets (VLCD) may satisfy your goals at first but it won't work long term (it's seen that when interrupted you'll gain more weight than with less restrictive diets) and plus it can be EXTREMELY dangerous for your health. The key is to try having a more neutral reaction towards food: it's not your enemy nor your friend, it's something crucial for your existence and eating should be a pleasure. There's no good or bad food, there's just food you need to eat on a daily basis and other less often. There's no "cheating" in diet. You are not a bad person if you eat a piece of cake now and then and if you have a healthy diet a small treat won't do no harm. And girls, let's stop demonizing carbs because they are ESSENTIAL for our brain to work. They won't make you fat if eaten in the right proportions. Unless stated otherwise by a doctor, you should eat every kind of food. Look at the food pyramid and you'll have no problems: it shows how often you should eat certain classes of food for a healthy diet. if you are eating excessively, trying to stick to the food pyramid may help you with your weight. also the huge problem with low calorie diets is that if not done correctly you will have some deficits because you have fewer types of foods to eat and trust me, a vitamin deficiency isn't fun. Plus starving yourself will make you hungrier until you can't take it any more and start binging. Plus the less you eat, the less your body will consume energy cause its goal is to keep functioning thus your MB and you burn less calories. You shouldn't be counting calories: as long as you are eating each type of food in the right proportions you won't have problems. Also you may wanna consider seeking professional help cause eating disorders are very serious. I was trying to keep this comment short... Oh well lol. But if anyone needs help, please comment here and I'll se if I can help:)

I always start out a week energetic and ready to eat/cook healthy, and I actually love grocery shopping, but as a student it never turns out that way throughout the week. Sometimes I'm responsible enough to pack a lunch or dinner before going to work but if I forget then I resort to eating junk from the vending machine nearby. I don't have enough money each week to order healthy food from uber eats or bite squad. As the week goes on I get more and more tired and burnt out and end up eating for convenience rather than health, since cooking always seems to take so much energy out of me. I'm not really sure how to get out of this cycle since I can't change my work hours or class schedule

Chiara so true! But my biggest struggle is to know what the right portion of the different kinds of food is! I am so confused: how many grams of pasta, quinoa, potatoes, chickpeas, etc.... I am vegetarian and l also struggling to balance protein income...

Hello Annie! My name is Cristina and I’ve been on my weight loss journey for some time now. I have lost 18 lbs so far but I still have some more to go. Every day is a struggle but yes I want to show up for myself, for my husband and for my family! It’s so true what you say that mindset is so key. I always thought that “dieting” or eating “healthy” felt like breaking up with a best friend! I finally had to stop and really do some soul searching. Analyze exactly what my eating habits were doing for me and to me. I can finally say in my 38 yrs of life that I am starting to love and respect myself and body. Thank you for the inspiration! I can relate to literally EVERYTHING you pointed out here. I've lost a lot of weight myself, and the process was fine, but now that I have reached my goal, I don't know where to go from here. I love this topic, I’ve always have a love and hate relationship with food and i still struggle with it. I’m an emotional eater so my weight fluctuates a lot. Practicing mindfulness is something I’m on a path with, so i hope it creates a healthy lifestyle for me.

Being a flight attendant and having to deal constantly with jet lag and fatigue and other unpleasant issues related to my job, keeping a healthy food and sport routine, especially when I’m off and at home, is ESSENTIAL for my wellbeing 🙏🏼😍

Here are the tips!: 1. 1:52 Nourish yourself with real food and ditch the "diet" mentality. Try to get out of that yo-yo dieting mindset. 2. 5:40 Make your kitchen a positive and inspiring place. Replace the not so nourishing foods with nutritious healthy foods that you love and can quickly put together. Put positive energy in your kitchen towards food. 3. 7:28 Develop mindfulness and gratitude for your food. Recognise what you're eating is gonna fuel your body. Check in with yourself while eating aswell to see how you feel (You can stop eating if you're full). 4. 9:51 Healthy eating is not black or white. Balance is important, and everyday is a new day to start over. 5. 10:46 Stay Hydrated. We often confuse hunger for thirst. Keep a big bottle of water with you throughout the day and make sure to chug :). 6. 11:38 Develop a healthy amount of self discipline in other areas of your life. The more you practice a skill or technique, the stronger it gets. For example, wake up at the same time everyday, develop good daily habits, make to-do lists and actually do them. 7. 12:57 Treat your body with gratitude, respect and love. Remember how amazing the machine is that you're living in. Feed your body with foods that will take care of it. Get enough sleep, exercise in ways that make you feel good, and treat your body you would a partner or friend. This took so long

I am right now in that moment of my life in which I really want to take care of my body, have more discipline and healthy habits for myself, I've just started again exercising 5 times per week and trying to eat as clean and healthy as I can and on weekends have a little treats. Hi Annie, your videos are so much inspiration every time. One question popped up my mind though, because I'm currently sick and just don't feel like eating anything, especially veggies and fruits even if I love them. The only thing I can eat these days is toast. So I would be curious, what do you eat when you feel sick and want to give your body a rest? Thank you!

Yesterday I was looking for a video like this . So I’m happy that you made one. I lost 15 kilos and I gained them all in 8 months. My diet was really nutritious and healthy but after emotional pressure and anxiety, I started eating bad and lot . I just couldn’t stop . I’m struggling to find again a healthier lifestyle but I have no motivation . In 1,5 month I will have to wear my winter clothes which are 3 sizes smaller . Lol 😂 It’s not only for my image , but I always looking for chips , sugar and fats and this is not healthy . I’m bored at raw foods . Fruits , raw veggies and all that stuff . I’m trying to cook them and really works but I’m still craving unhealthy meals . I believe I have to press myself for a month to get use to a healthier diet and after that it will become easier . But I have no motivation at all..

I have been anorexic for a while but the n thanks to binge eating i gained 35 kg . And it was horrible . And i know what you mean by not being able to stop or not wanting to eat those healthy stuff. But heey i managed to lose 11 kg. I walked for 50 minutes everyday and had one cheat meal ( not like pizza but some ice cream or some healty pasta maybe ) Like having something that i really like once a day stopped my cravings . I dunno if it helps but i just wanted to share .I hope you can find something that works out for you .

It is hard , I know I have done the exact same thing. I lots 15kg and I gained all. Of it bag I was so disappointed and that made me so unmotivated. So far I am 2kg down but that is not as far as I promised myself I would be now , it’s hard but remember the end goal , it will be worth it , having health having confidence , it’s easier to just binge than take care of yourself but it will be better in the long run , I promise you , keep going , you can do it and you know it, I can do it aswell , one day we can look back on this comment and say “I made it”. Use that as a motivation, imagine how happy you will feel when you step on the scale and finally reach your goal weight or when u look in the mirror and you are finally happy with that way you look . I wish you the best luck. YOU CAN DO THIS !!

Love you annie!!! Just wanted to inform you that starvation mode doesn't really "exist". All comes down to calories in vs calories out...eating nutritious food can help you from over eating as it will keep you feeling full for longer. Love from Canada

I have a lot of problem with iron in my blood. I literally don’t have it. I am not a big fan of red meat. What can I do to not be iron anemia ?

Try getting iron from plants and herbs. Do your research. The synthetic one from the pharmacy cannot be fully absorbed by our bodies. Hope this helps a little.🌱💚

I am in good shape and I eat healthy but I have a problem with chocolate. I need to eat a bit of chocolate everyday. How do I cut it down? I've tried and I find it impossible. I get irritated when I don't have it.

karolina debczynska you could try chocolates with coconut sugar and about 70% cacao in it. It might be a „healthier“ option :)
