The "Mhm" tip is gold! My voice is naturally quite a bit deeper than what I usually use for speaking because I tend to fall into "nasal" tone. "Mhm" immediately dropped my voice to a very natural pitch that felt comfortable, full, and rich when following it up with "one," "two," "three," etc. Thanks for this video!

i always purposefully deepen my voice everytime i talked and made me self conscious all the time, everytime i slipped up with my real voice, and it always worries me, one day i am close to a girl and I'm tired of it i speak to her with my real softer voice and i told her everything, she told me "it's okay to have that voice, i liked it" and that changed me for the better, i stopped putting up act and be myself, yes people sometimes mocked me with my little voice, but she's the one who i cared about so it doesn't even matter anymy
Some Women in a relationship will say they find you more attractive fat and out of shape because it'll make you less desirable to other women. Some women try to take away what makes you attractive to rid her of her insecurities of losing you to another woman. It's kinda like when guys get insecure when their gf dresses a certain way. Don't believe everything your partner tells you when it comes to stuff like that.

It's hard to "own it" at school where people bully the shit out of you for having a feminine voice. Teenagers are vulnerable... they fail to "own it", especially under the stress of bullying.
I think hating your own voice is something most people deal with. In school guys with high voices want to sound like their lower voices peers, but those low voice guys want to sound less boring.
yeah I have a pretty high voice for a man, but low voice for women, and It makes me feel really shitty whenever I speak in a higher tone. Like I'm not a real man, even though I know that's not true lmao
Practice is the best thing. I hated my voice when hearing it in recordings and I sang very, very bad but I trained my voice to almost master level and I created the best version of my voice. But you need patience and free time to do this. That's the only and the worst cost, you won't have better voice after one day. Also, try to speak slower and take a lot of breaths to create tension not in throat, but already in the lungs - this way you will sound more louder and confident.
I don’t really have much of concern for whatever this video since my voice got pushed to sound like this already because of my job as customer service, but it was really informational and entertaining. If RU-vid still had stars, this is 5 stars.
Fun fact: basically all of this is also good technique to apply to singing. So essentially, the manliest thing you can do is be a good classical singer.

I was thinking about the same thing. Though they left out one essential tip for deep voice with confidence... Relaxation. If you're able to relax your jaw then the voice will sound naturally deeper as well. Then again... I'm naturally bass.

I’m 25 and have always HATED my voice. I cringe when I hear myself in recordings and I hate hearing myself speak. I watched this a few days ago and realized I’m not super nasally I was just speaking wrong all my life. I had to come back and comment after I actually started crying listening to myself sing in my real voice. I don’t hate hearing myself talk now. Thank you so much.

Dude, sometimes your voice never stops cracking. The "manliest" thing you can do is just keep rolling and own it. If someone calls you on it, just ask "why do you care?" And continue with the conversation.
Thanks for an interesting and helpful video. I know that our voices sound higher than they do to us as we speak them, & that in the USA, deep male voices are the most respected. I guess I needed more testosterone at a certain point in my body’s development. Who knew?
Just heavily roar/yell like those heavy metal rock stars do at least 2 times A day...Rip those vocal cords up!... After about A month when you talk to someone you will sound like A fucking train engine.
Singing deep and loud can definitely change your voice over time, I know because whenever I regularly sing high or low, my talking voice kind of molds to the pitch I'm getting used to singing in. You also need to avoid a raspy sound, so try singing with a vibrato.
Raspy sound isn't bad. Singers have been using it for decades, maybe 40+ years, without screwing up; example is Steven Tyler. As with this video, you need to own it with the right technique.
Happy to see that I came up with the exactly same technique as shown in the video (diaphragm breathing while speaking) it's happens when we speak with confidence and bravery. I don't know where where testosterones when we hit puberty :)
I've been told by my best friends that when I'm really relaxed or drowsy, my voice sounds really deep. But when I'm exited or something I sound like a freaking pixie.
