one thing to keep in mind, these awe inspiring lines have their own compositional arc. in a live context they inspire and are inspired by the musical and non-musical environment. I can only imagine how amazing he sounds when vibing with a live rhythm section combined with his encyclopedic grasp of jazz harmony, melody and rhythm. bottom line: I'd love to see him with a rhythm section like Ron Carter, Roy Haynes, Christian Sands.
Aren’t those Ibanez AS-200’s fantastic? - I see the Blues in a similar fashion: combine Mixolydian with the Blues scale and you get 1-2-b3/3-4-b5-5-6-b7. Use b2-b6-7 in chromatic lines that resolve and that’s all 12 notes.
