There’s no way around it. You have to do difficult things and conquer them. Whether it’s to get an ‘A’ in that difficult math subject in school or achieve a 6 min mile time, you have to take actionable steps towards a goal/challenge and build that memory of achieving it. Over time, self-confidence will be the reward of that.

I was listening to a podcast that said, “it’s important to live life by design rather than emotion. Basically, sticking to a routine is what allows us to be the healthiest version of ourselves (especially when you're fighting these demons ex. OCD for me). I’ve had to overhaul how I approach studying, working out and taking care of my brain (journaling) by practising mediocre consistency. Now I try to put in consistent 50-60% effort into my studying, exercise and journaling habit - to make sure I do it I began recording it and posting it on YT. Because historically I have a habit of going too hard, not being able to sustain the Herculean effort, giving up and hating myself. So now I’m trying to give a small, consistent mediocre effort everyday. And its crazy how it adds up.

Episode after episode after episode... Rich's podcast has helped me create the courage to change my career, the strength to pursuit the most valuable goals through the hardest paths, the fulfillment to be happy with where I am now, even though the road ahead is huge, and the hability to be a more caring, respectful and comprehensive father - although this podcast is never directly talking about parenting skills!

I purchased Lisa’s book on audible and I cannot recommend it enough!!! It made me think, it made me laugh, it touched my heart and I honestly didn’t want it to end because I enjoyed it so much. There’s nothing like hearing her voice tell the story of her life and the little details are just the best. She’s hit the nail on the head with the term “purgatory of the mundane“ And I am very grateful to be woken up to the possibilities through radical confidence.

Love this so much. And to her point at the end, the message that she and her husband are putting out there about relationships (particularly the show they did together on Tom's a few months ago) has had an enormous effect on my relationship. We put the wisdom into action! So many good insights from both of them--and more in this episode!
@bbspeaks6260
@bbspeaks6260 Год назад
This is an interesting perspective. There was a lot of good relationship communication information in there. And heaven knows I can get all the help out there on confidence. But there were a few concepts I found perplexing. Talking about her parents attitudes she stated. “What were told is what we become. “ And yet you are evidence that it is not true. There she is standing in a place different from where she was told she’d be. The real growth is in understanding that the obstacle of mindset is needed to build the success. I’m also skeptical of the notion of the purgatory of the mundane and the notion that gratitude held her back. Gratitude if practiced correctly will propel. If gratitude causes you to sit still, there’s more to learn. Pride is holding you back not gratitude. Gratitude should help us recognize that we’re learning things that we didn’t ask for, that we need to know. If it stops us from growing in the direction we’re aimed. It’s not yet powerful enough in your skill set. Don’t mistake slow growth in one area as a cause for another. Gratitude should help you be happy along the journey. If you think gratitude is stopping you from achieving your goals. It’s not gratitude that is holding you back.

You wait for other people to save you, if you can not do it by yourselve. Luckily, and i love Lisa, she is such a beautiful woman, but she has a lot of support, she has not a health problem, which cannot be solved. And she has the money to see experts. I am so ill, noone knows what is wrong with my body. I cannot do my household or anything. Noone can help me and i do not have the money to try things. I cannot even get to any appointment. i have a muscle desease means getting weaker every day. Life is nothing without health, absolutely nothing. Having in mind you can die tomorrow or the next day and being that weak brings you down from everything. So Lisa Bilyeu is one of my highlights in the week, because i like to listen to her and all the standards she has for her life. i wish i can start again and doing all this challenging things with partnership or business. I wish i could life a live with struggle and failure to learn from it and get stronger. instead of i am lying in bed waiting for the last breathe, no life. I wish more people could see, that nothing in life counts if you have not health. Thank you both for the awesome video, love it 💖

For the first time, someone words my thoughts. In addition to your remark, there is something in her communication that makes me think she’s unhappy, especially when she talks about letting go of the idea of having children (on her channel). I totally understand that this sooo out of my business to judge people who are living continents away from me, but as a communication expert it’s second nature to read behind the spoken and the written word, and her posts made me stop more than once because of the internal conflict they seemed to convey. But I have to say that when they are together, their interactions are almost perfect and quite #relationshipgoals I wish them both the absolute best. To me personally, it means a lot to see them stay together because they are one of these couples that I look up to when I think of the level of support I’d want from my future partner.

I am a big fan of Tom’s. With that being said I’ll take a little bit of issue with his wife. She seems very intelligent and is very attractive to boot. But if you go back and listen to Tom’s stories about him coming up through the ranks it gives you a better backstory than is portrayed here. Her father told her she would not be allowed to marry Tom because he wasn’t cut from a certain class. This is a telling fact of her personality. We all do the best we can with our raising but I can’t help but notice the spoiled child in this woman. It seems like to me she was just fine with her role until Tom started getting the kind of attention he now receives. She feels slighted about the spotlight not being on her. There is a very good chance she would not have this spotlight if it was not for Tom’s success. It sure seems like “look at me, I’m important too!” I’m sure Tom would disagree with this but I would imagine he’s not at liberty to say otherwise. Rich shouldn’t have to dance around statements worrying if they’re chauvinistic or not either. He doesn’t have a bone in his body like that. I think that is telling of her personality also. I am glad for her and glad she is doing good and has gained confidence but I have a hard time believing that she has been as instrumental in his success as she thinks she has been. These are assumptions but I would welcome any information that proves me wrong.

Interesting............She seems to needs attention, the hair, the large jewelry, and would you even be talking to her if not for her husband. I hear her say I, I, I a lot, a focus on lots of success. Confidence is not gained by appearance. She seems a bit spoiled. Surprised you are interviewing her. How about simple, healthy confidence? Real confidence does not need props. It appears Quest Nutrition, which they made a lot of money on, is not the most healthy of products. As she and her husband made so much money off Quest Nutrition, how did she not know that taking antibiotics, etc. would damage her health.
