Good afternoon Mr Leiland as I just have to say that I love the idea that your courses are as you indicated tailored to the individual unlike strict structured courses that fail to address one's individual needs.
First off, I want to say that this is a uniquely informative and excellently presented video on the subject. Much gratitude for taking the time to create this content. Your knowledge and sincerity shine through brightly. It took me a long time to see that muscle size and muscle strength were not equivalent. My two closest friends years ago had tremendous muscle density, but were not big. Their strength was vastly superior to the big puffy guys with a huge amount of water retention from steroid use. In 2023, I work out in the gym who's clientele has significant wealth. The majority of men from age 45 forward are on TRT. Some of them are using recombinant DNA growth hormone. They look great, with the exception of appearing a bit desiccated. That said, me at 73, tall and thin, who has never thought of himself as strong, is much stronger than all of those guys. But they look good.
Love this channel as everything makes sense. In my gym i have never seen anyone apart from myself do pullups. Everyone's trying to look great lifting weights. As Lee says there's a difference between muscles and strength and it took me time to realise everything comes from that core strength.
Thanks man. As a skater who lately lift at the gym. I always value the flexibility and strength of joints and tendons. That why instinctively i always stick to free weight than machine on the gym. Because i know how critical these joints need to be well supported instead of just focusing on the growth of muscle alone. Now that i hear someone explain this in a clear way. I am motivated to learn true strength.
Hello to everyone 🙏 Im 51 year old ... in heart im little kid who always look to become better person ! Today I must say that I have choose the hardest way to achive my life goals ... but today I can say that is only way , all other paths leading in other direction , easy life . Easy comes , easy goes ... for many people this is only smart way to live happy life ... save energy for something wise , for material world , this was their advice for me and I never listen to them ! Soon I become black sheep , on my way I lost almost everything ... but this was not loosing , Im just throwing away all what was unimportant ... and today I dont regret , couse like Lee said , we are multidimensional ... but to become that there is only one way , hard way ... It is hard to be good and yet so easy to be bad .... like my father told me : Take a long way home , my God was he right ! I saw this way here , long way ... so I decide to walk with Lee and all others who following him on this journey . Hope I can come with you , and sorry for such long story 🙏
listening to your whole video intently,..... helps inspire me. Awsome to see your take on this subject. Mid 50's lookiing forward to working the years into reverse.
I just love your opening. Love of god and the rest. I just wish I could have known you years ago. Now being 80 with injuries I doubt I could do or even progress in your wonderful material.
Thank you for including philosophy and God.🙏♥️ Previously I was also doing same thing like building muscles but still I cannot able to do even one leg squat as my leg was bulkier at that time still i not even lift myself to the half way in pistol squats now after losing all muscle from disease I'm focusing on strength training which allow me to do one leg squat now with ease but I look weaker than my previous self 😂.
I always thought big muscles were the answer to strength. For 20 years I focused on muscles. Being a hard gainer I never got huge just stayed lean and cut which is good. Still flexibility was always my issue. I agree flexibility is essential for a strong body.
True that..was training with some gym bros and our coach made us do a boatload of pushups..those who were there longer ran through the pushups...the gym bros were struggling. Also realised they coudnt do pullups. I was surprised.
Good day Sir.I want to improve my Sumo and BJJ game.i really dislike weight training and i don’t really notice on mat strength from it.Can i buy a paid customized training plan from you?
One example that comes to mind of a really muscular guy who was also really strong was Mariusz Pudzianowski. He won the world's strongest man competition multiple times but he's since retired from strongman competitions and switched to doing MMA. I've heard people criticize him and say he was probably on steroids and countless other performance enhancing drugs and he would not have won those titles if he had been 100% natural.
You know...it really doesn't matter what people do or take or inject...its between them and God. If they're blatantly lying then the lie is the problem, not the substances or whatever else.
