Dear Alex and Molchanovs Team, I want to contribute to the breathing-awareness ethos by translating into Spanish the subtitles of this video, so some of my friends who don't speak English can understand and get into practice. You're my favourite athlete, like you mother was before you. I've been following all your career, but what I didn't know is that your exercises would be so valuable to ..... my hability to sing in a choir. I've been using my breathing just as you said, the whole upper body, not just the ribcage, and my breath time has doubled, not in less than a month, but instantly.

Thanks for your inspiration Alexey. As 66 year old that almost forgot the games that I used to play with breath holding as child. I realise that the fun and variation improved my breath holding over time. Revisiting freediving for a relaxed past time in retirement i am gradually improving my health and mindset. I am very interested to see how much I can improve my lung capacity at this age. So far it is working.

I'm 67 years tomorrow. I started to do pranayamas permanently for last 3 years. I do not his way but let say my way. After 20- 40 min.of preparation which is key stone I do exhale about 75% and hold in after that I do inhale and hold it. After another cycle of preparation and repit it. I tel you my last record 3m26sec exhale hold.and right after 2m25sec on inhale hold... So when we older we would it much better than in our 20th...I had 2m28sec inhale hold in.my 23 year.. My student 60 years old fitness trainer started work with me. Her record a After 4 month was 2m36sec.... So we can do what ever we want disregard how old we are. Good wishes

@@MolchanovsFreediving - 6 months later, I am pleased to report that my breathing and breathhold are continuing to improve. Progress takes a bit more patience at this age, but embracing and enjoying the small steps is the key to consistency. The good news is that although most will likely lose some lung elasticity, with consistent practise we at least maintain, if not improve elasticity and oxygen absorption for health and free diving.

Great content as always thanks Alexey! deep and strong inhale without proper warm-up does lead to dizziness. This is something that i understood practicing Apnea walking. Does this phenomena have a name? i know it's different from hyperventilation (forcing CO2 out before breath hold) and i'm curious to understand it more.

Full and quick inhale can lead to dizziness because lung pressure increases rapidly and body can not adapt to it so fast. That's why we recommend to do top-up inhales: start from a small-volume inhale (about 30%), then when you want to breathe, you top-up air and continue. This way pressure increases slower and you will avoid dizziness 😉

instead of nose breathing in and out, can it be performed also through the mouth? and how many cycles or repetition do you suggest?

I´m 63, spearfishing since 9, 10 years old, smoke 2 to of cigarretes a day for 50 years and still do spearfishing...After covid (3 x 2019 & 2020) lost 50% of my lung's capacity and at the same time, developed DCOP... I still make spearfishing in Cape Verde, quit smoking 3 years ago of course, ride my bicycle, some gymnasium 2 to 3 times a week but can´t go down more than 15 / 17 meters... Anything I can do to improve my apnea or is it too late?

Alexey seems to do the exercise with his lips sealed, breathing trough the nose. Should I try both ways, mouth and nose breahting?

My inhale was 104 seconds and exhale 36 seconds with a strong urge to breathe towards the end.

It is incredible that you have managed to dive 133m on one breath! I don't understand. Do you fill you blood with oxygen and empty your lungs so you sink? Or do you sink due to some weights in your suit?

The deeper he goes, the higher the pressure, so he would naturally sink at around the 10 or 15m depth as the volume of air in his lungs gets squeezed. You’ll see he kicks a bit during the initial descent, but remains still when he is deep enough to sink. The ascent looks like a lot of work from the bottom. Still absolutely incredible though

I was impressed by this video and bought your course. I am so upset , the course which seemed great stopped working after 4 days, i have spent the last 3 weeks trying to someone yo resolve the problem . No resolution, I am not impressed. It is such bad after care service. I hope you see this and take charge of whoever is running your business support. I read your mission statement and this does not conform with it. So disappointed .
