Thanks! I found corrosion in the tcm connector and solved the problem!!! Hyundai couldn’t even find the problem!

Its common issue /weakness for this transmission, dealers recom to update your internal harnes to 2013 up harness type.

My 2015 Kia Forte Koup SX 1.6T is throwing the p0880 code, stuck in 4th, lurches into gear. I guess I'll be opening up the transmission tomorrow. 🙄

All that remains is to check the cable that you opened

it's most likely gonna be that if you already checked the transmission fuses

Is it possible to diagnose if its the PCM by tapping into the power wire that goes into the transmission and sending it 12 volts from the battery to see if that fixes it?

u mean like a bypass? if u wanna do that it won't work cause the problem is the ribbon cable inside the transmission only way to fix it is changing it and it's really not that hard

my car is driving in 4th gear and jerks a lot and the check light is on. p088000 If I change it and change the oil,will everything be okay? And is this definitely not a control unit?@@JVFIXLLC
