Follow these steps to diagnose your faulty parking sensors on a VW car. My screen in the Volkswagen caddy was showing a message saying the OPS (Optical Parking System) wasn't working. To know which sensor doesn't work, insert the key into ignition and switch to position 2 (do not start the car!) then put the car into reverse. Step out of the car and go to the parking sensors and touch each one individually and see which one is making a "clicking" noise. If it is making a noise then you know it's working.
This also works for other makes or car.
