As the main audio engineer at my church, I struggle explaining compression to new volunteers. This video actually help with some language to use with people who aren't in the loop with audio tech lingo. This is a dope pedal! I might have to swap my dyna comp... or just add it!
Definitely a slick pedal and I really like the minimalist enclosure. I think to make the drive mode more accessible having a preset option would be ideal to easily switch between a standard comp sound to a more clipped drive setting
Just to make sure people are aware, the ratio's you mentioned are backwards. It's not 1:3 or 1:6, it should be 3:1 or 6:1. The first number in the ratio is the input level and the 2nd number is the output decibel. For input 3 decibels over whatever the threshold is set to, that the compressor is getting, it will only let it be louder by 1. You can have a high ratio and a low threshold and have light compression with it still engaging it but just kissing the compressor rather than it being overly squashed.
