This seems so simple, but when I am using pedals, etc., I often forget all about this and start chasing the wrong problem when something else is creating the dirt! I need to rewatch this video about once a week!
Important stuff! I do this with an Orange Tiny Terror and it is glorious for pedals. Master on full and use the preamp to set volume. I get just the essence of power tube distortion and it’s magical. Running it into an alnico Jensen loaded 112.
What I love a lot is to mix your approach but then add another guitar with a mild overd4ive before (e.g. sunset germanium) but then dial back input Volume. That is gonna be still super clran but contrasts because it is compressed and warm
Omg, i just bought a tube amp with this kind of layout and i really liked the clean tone, now i can get even better tone with this knowledge, thank you so much!
This is super helpful, a collection of tips I know but forget, great to have this info in one place. Thanks! (P.S and a looping masterclass on the end too 😊)
That's what I thought you said in the video but I only see one channel am I just missing the normal input and controls or did vox make a single channel 15 at some point? Thanks for the response
