How to DIFFERENCE 5 Star from 4 Star Warp Pulls (Honkai Star Rail) 

i always mute the game and close my eyes for a few seconds

Man I just wish we could tell apart 3 stars from 4 stars, I like to wait out 4 star animations but doing it EVERY pull because you can't tell if it's a 3 star is a pain, especially with how often you can pull when you first start

The Different in Ticket are Blur Effect. 4* have less Blur than 5*

it's been a year and i still am too blind to tell most of the time so i just skip. i wish they made the animation less longwinded

Is there also a chance it will change to a 5 star if it shows a 4 star amination during the line up?

WORST place I ever warped for Kafka is Herta’s office. Spent 30 warps in 2 days got Nothing, not even a 4 star character

My problem is everything happens so fast - the parts before we see pom-pom. My brain refuses to fixate on the ticket and therefore the differences are way too subtle. This annoys me.

There two things changes with the ticket tho, you can tell its 5 star even before it turns "rainbow" (idk why people call it rainbow it clearly just blue and red chromatic abberation to me, like all the early 2000s 3D movies), the ticket will have a huge smearing/ghosting effect to it on the right of the screen

And now i can foresee how fucked up I am!

For the ones that don’t know don’t worry I got you. Blue means your only getting a weapon and nothing else Purple means a four star character or a four star weapon Golden means five star character or five star weapon I hope this helps

I always do a No look headphones off when I do multis. Because if I No look with headphones on..I’ll know if I get a 5-star or not depending on the music. That’s why I do the No-look headphones off when I pull.

There’s also another way I found out. If you look at the ticket when it enters in at the first scene of the animation, look at the top right corner and you’ll see a stamp if it’s blue then it’s a 3 star if it purple than it’s 4 star and so on😍

I see now. The ticket will remain completely clear and visible when it’s to the right, if it’s a 4. The ticket will have a ghost/distortion effect if it’s a 5. Good to know.

It’s similar to Genshin, the Star fades gold and gleams with a rainbow. When I got my first 5* in this game yesterday, it was 26 pity and 50/50 won! I saw the ticket become rainbow and immediately knew. My luck is insane. In Genshin, I’ve won 4/6 50/50s, pulled 8 5*s, and 4 were early, 3 of which were won. Now my first star rail one was early! Also, my early ones in Genshin were 15 pity (lost), 17 pity (won), 7 pity (won), and 16 pity (won) respectively. The 2 guaranteed between them were Nahida and Hu Tao. Anyway, I have pretty good luck. How’d I please the Gacha gods?

Tbh as much as I like HSR this animation sucks compared to Genshin. It really is just more annoying than exciting. It’s too hard to tell and get excited about it, they needed to make the train sparks a different color for each level 3/4/5 stars. This is one of my least favorite parts of the game and for a gotcha game that’s pretty bad.
