@claudialepage7750 I applied last December and they don't accept digital signature. They asked me to send the document back hand signed. IMM5532. Once you finish, sign by hand or they will send it back to you. Hope that helps
I am a MAC user with a printer, and I still could not use the "Save to PDF" option. It was not available from the Adobe Reader; however, your suggestion to use Mozilla Firefox worked. Thank you for clear, step-by-step instructions!

Thank you for the video, it helped me sign the form from my Mac! one thing I might add is that you can actually drag and drop the form you already filled into Firefox without having to enter the data again. So drag and drop the previously filled form, sign it then save it again to have a completely filled and signed form.
@Yahia Rasheed I did something similar, after signing on Firefox I only saved the PDF, but didn't print it as PDF, so the fields were still editable when I submitted to IRCC. Do you think they will accept it or return the application?
@@TheVege89 I really don't have an answer to that question, but I don't see a reason why they would return the application if the form is filled out correctly and has all the signatures on it.
When he says everything has to be filled out before PRINT TO PDF step, that means EVERYTHING! That includes the dates next to the four signature lines. After the PDF step and signing those can no longer be filled in.

MAC USERS SOLVED- I don't know if you can see in the video - but the page numbers are cut off - if anyone else was having this problem (no page numbers) when saving as a PDF the SOLVE is to RIGHT CLICK the document (vs. using the print icon or going to file ) and save as PDF. When you open it, it will both have the digital signature AND the page numbers. TY. And Hope this helps everyone.
Wow!! I been struggling to open these forms on my MacBook for weeks. I reinstalled the MacOS and installed Adobe Reader few times. Tried on both google and safari. Never thought to trying Firefox. Thank you so much for this video. So we don’t need handsign on any forms??
Quick question about the Mozilla method: When I try to fill out certain dates, such as the section for employment history, it only allows for 6 characters (YYYY-MM), which means I can not add a dash or a slash, separating the year and the month. So my date looks something like 201801 instead of 2018-01. How do you recommend I fix this? Leave it as one number or do 2018/1 instead? I should note that this is only the case for employment history dates and address dates, the rest work fine. Thank you so much for all the help!
While both approaches make sense, the second one with "/" looks better. as long as they understand what date you are trying to type, you should be ok. Since this form does not need validation, it wont cause a problem saving
Hello Suyash thank you for always helping us ✅ you deserve a medal 🏅 so as was looking at this form on Firefox I realized at the bottom of it there no numbers meaning when the forms were updated and I don’t think one can upload it without it. Yes, fire-fox cuts out those dates but that should not be a problem. You can submit, don't need to fix those. IRCC knows what version it is even without the dates (when the form was updated). As long as the rest of the form is complete, digitally signed, you should be good. If you don't feel like it, your best option, to use a windows PC. That way you avoid the unnecessary stress
Hi Suyansh I applied for the Spouse PR through representative in Dec 2022. We (me and my wife) manually(handwritten) signed on IMM5532, IMM5476. I also got my biometric request and medical too and done with the same too. So is there thing to worry now? Can they still reject my file? Please.please reply
I’m using a macbook, I followed your instructions on how to digital sign on Mac. As I am filling out the form, I had a problem with the dates for the Employment History and Address History. The dates format should be (YYYY-MM) but when I type the dates if I put “-“ it won’t let me type 2 numbers. It looks like this (YYYY-M), if I dont put “-“ it the numbers are continues (YYYYMM). Hope you can answer my question. Thank you!
yes thats a known issue with Firefox. YYYYMM should be ok until they optimize the form for firefox. it still conveys the right date, even without the dash, so you are good to use it

Hi Suyash, very nice and helpful video. I was digitally signing the form the way you showed. I am able to sign it. But once I open the form again just to check it if the signatures are there, I found that the signatures are missing on the page 8 (for both the PA and sponsor). The other two signatures are present on earlier pages. Those two missing signatures are only showing when we are zooming in or out the document but not at 100% zoom ratio (default when pdf is opened). The only way i can fix is adding a digital signature (rather than typing in a text box) using the Adobe feature (Add a signature). This signature still includes first and last name but in a fancy font. Is it still valid?

Because i used my email to create this account, it doesn't let me create a Permanent Residence (PR) Portal to start an application. it said that the email was used. How can I delete the Authorized Paid Representative Portal that was created BY MISTAKE. thank you
I dont know if there is an option to delete that. Just ignore it since you have not submitted anything. Use the regular PR portal and let the principal applicant create the account themselves using their email.

Hi, i hope you see this, in the section where we fill up dates for our work employment history, we can only fill up limited amount of characters; example: instead of 2022-12, it only let us fill 2022-1.. so we're missing one letter or character... im using macbook and i did this in mozilla firefox

How can I ensure the documents have been digitally signed correctly? My spouse is overseas and I’ve signed my name digitally, saved file, sent file, she opens puts her name and date then saves sending back to me. Seems like there should be more to it? Seems like you are on the right path already. Nothing more to it than you already pointed out. They dont verify at this stage. if they need to, they make a request down the line(very rare). just sign digitally like you mentioned(as per passport ***this is important ****), get the spouse to do it and upload(thats what the instructions say) and if you dont feel confident about this then check the instructions in the guide 5289 and may be talk to other people who have recently done this. As a last resort you can call IRCC and verify (you’ll be most likely disappointed in the level of their response to your query but still, you can try)

This has been a bit confusing as some fields won’t allow them. Should she be signing her name as her passport with the special characters from Vietnamese language? Thanks again! @@lukecranney1704 Since the special characters are not machine readable, they are likely to go by just the plain letters in her name. Also, I believe the form wont allow you to validate with special characters. So, better to not use special characters. As an added measure, for full disclosure, you can add a letter of explanation with her actual name(with pronunciation and all) and explaining to them what you did above in your comment But for the forms, just use plain letters. Do confirm this with someone as I am not 100% sure
@@HitSubmitCanada thanks again. I’ve asked on Reddit. It’s a bit confusing overall when to use and when not do her native language. For instance IMM 5406 instructions say to enter all names in English and in your native language. My understanding then is that names must be entered twice all in the same field is there’s only one box for text on the form. To me this seems a bit confusing to Input names twice in one field for text.
