good stuff I was trying to capture some old reference books I have on the shelf, and wasn't happy with the quality, process. Your "free" process has addressed all issues enough to make the output very usable thank you!
You wouldnt want to save as a jpeg because jpeg is a lossy format, which means that it creates an image that is of less quality than the original. This is similar to music which can have a lossy format like MP3 or AAC. The audio will sound weak and you'll have to boost it to make it comfortable to listen to. Also sounds in the song or audio in general are lost because they've been taken out to make the file size smaller. In the case of an image this loss in quality causes pixelation. So when you use lossy formats whether video, audio or pictures, yes you make the file much much smaller but you also lose a lot of the detail that was in the original source. Jpeg would be fine if you just dont care about the image being as best as it can be, but if you are archiving you'd want TIFF preferably as this is lossless, which is an exact copy. Png would be the next best thing as that is also lossless but png is compressed, and compressed will never be as good as uncompressed. However storage is so much cheaper now than it used to be, so theres really no reason to make a pdf with anything other than tiff or png images.
Pixillion seems to have now a "50 files limit - Check my other video, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mlnx9IJpBqg.html and download - NAPS2 (Not Another PDF Scanner 2) go to... www.naps2.com/download.html. load images here and make pdf for free forever.
Nice video, very informative. I came across this because I was searching for a way to archive my CD and album covers. I wanted to see if there were any good free scanning programs with a good descreening option.
Dear Tefl, hope all is well. Once again many thanks for such a wonderful video and the way of your teaching. I keep digitizing the books following your attached video. Would you please further guide me on "HOW TO MAKE AVAILABLE THOSE BOOKS in a library form ON INTERNET" for free READING and DOWNLOADING? I have searched lots of videos on the INTERNET but unfortunately not successful. Would you PLEASE guide me in this regard? it will be the greatest help for me, please. REGARDS.
I believe you can upload them to openlibrary.org - I am not sure but I think it is an available option. Also sheck out my latest video on how to crop and resize pdfs for free - using a legal loophole I found on pdf-xchange.
I am trying to download the pdf xchange editor on my new laptop so I can create my pdf faster, my old laptop keeps freezing, but on the website suggested in the video there are no options for a free download anymore. Does anyone know of any alternative programs I can use that I won't have to pay for?
Check out my new video where I use NAPS2 to do all the work of editing & converting all images to pdf. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Jf98x48OnQc.html
@@niiikta I do not have this CZUR so I do not know what software comes with it. I will soon be doing a video on ABBYY finereader which can literally do everything when editing an image, straightening line text etc... But it costs, and here I am trying to show how to use free software.
