For anyone that is still getting issues that the Automatic repair is still coming up, it’s most likely that you have a failing hard drive. You should take it to your nearest computer repair shop. Just because of disabling this won’t fix that issue.

I tried all that and nothing worked. I just got back my computer from the shop replacing the the broken pins of the USB with a card replacement .They were suppose to also fix the loop. When I turned it on it was still looping to automatic repairs and stuck on recovery with a new message of corrupt files or registry with words like star and trail . Now sine the repair service had warranty for repairs and they got to fix it for free. It was their fault . I' m suspecting the usb 3.0 card replacement as the possible cause.

I installed pro tools and when i restart my pc, it goes into windows repair. How do i stop it? PS, It doesn't crash at all, it does it when i restart the PC and the PC is literally brand new.

If you’re running Pro Tools 11 or earlier, sadly it’s the legacy PACE software that pro tools installs for past versions that seems to be the culprit for this crap. There an article somewhere on the AVID forums on how to work around it, but the fixed it for version 12 onwards only

@@nyanatroublefield173 yes something did fix. It turns out it was a hardware problem. For me it was my cpu so I took back from we’re I bought it from and the gave me a new one under warranty

@@XjoshLive99 your data is probably still there. It’s just an early sign of failing for corrupted OS. You can use a USB flash drive and linux to boot up to get your data from the hard drive. Just lookup how to on RU-vid. There are a lot of ways to get it done.

I typed in the “recoveryenabled No” thing into the command prompt and it said it worked successfully but when I went back to see if it worked it still said the recovery was on.

Usually when your getting that error means that you might have a failing hard drive or the is corrupted

TIP DO NOT IGNORE) this is time consuming and may take hours please be patient only use this when you tried everything the nothing works reset this PC -delete everything you can't recover your old account then reinstall windows it works for me!

I have this too on my lenovo but I clicked a button that said to make my laptot start correctly and it will not remove my files and all and below is the option to remove the files so I logically clicked on the first one and then my laptop restarted with a different background but same pfp and there was some app that were there and not there before and some apps aren't even there anymore and the desktop is completely different, how can I undo it? It could be possible that you have a failing hard drive and that is what is causing it to appear.

You will need to choose the default one. Ignore the other one. And you should be good.
