Seems leakage comes not always from the seals on the shaft. I bought the replacement kit and when I disassembled the pump I found that the pump housing close to the output port has a pinhole leak at a seam of the injection moulding part. Definitly a production or construction issue. Pump is 23 month old, I hope the dealer will handle this properly and newer parts are better because I really like this pump.

I also found a pinhole on the top side of the suction/inlet connection. That is definitely a moulding or laminating quality issue. So if you get the water leak from the front cover bottom grating, remove the front cover and connect the pump without it to be able to see where the leak is from.

@@grundfos Note I have contacted the local Grundfos repair shop. My pump was replaced on warranty. I have received yesterday a brand new pump from Grundfos 👍. Best service.

Früher Grundfos 20 Jahre gehalten. Neue Grundfos mit Einbau 800€. Nach 2 Jahren defekt. Reparatur 600€. 1 Woche gelaufen. Jezt nur noch 1/4 Leistung wahrscheinlich ganz defekt jetzt. Auf Ersatzteile 1 Monat gewartet.

Hi there . I wonder if you can advise or point me in the right direction. My scala2 pump its start leaking water after 4 years of installation. The leak it appears to come from under the pump directly were the small metal mesh its located . Is this repairable at Al? Thank you

If you outlet pressure would be 3 Bar, then 70% of that. 3 x 0,7=2.1Bar.

Również kupiłem Scala 2, moje doświadczenia: - w pierwszej spalił się silnik - w drugiej był wyciek o którym wsyscy piszą - w trzeciej padła elektronika trzy inne pompy, nie polecam, aktualnie kupiłem IBO, zobaczymy jak się spisze, ale kosztuje 1/3 ceny Scala 2.

la mia pompa installata da quasi 3 anni ha iniziato a perdere perde nella parte inferiore. posso sapere come risolvere? la garanzia per la scala 2 confermate che è di 5 anni? chi devo contattare? posso eventualmente avere un kit con i pezzi da sostituire?

Bonjour, sympa cette video mais je ne vois pas la solution à mon problème, à savoir de l'eau qui goutte au niveau de la petite grille en dessous de la pompe. Je ne me vois pas démonter toute la pompe pour ça. Merci d'avance si vous avez une idée de solution? Je suis super content de ma pompe mais j'ai vu que je n'étais pas le seul à avoir un souci à ce niveau là.. Un souci de série?

Salut! Nous avons maintenant eu des nouvelles de nos spécialistes produits. Il peut y avoir deux raisons au problème que vous rencontrez : 1 : La raison typique est la condensation. Cela ne peut pas être éliminé, mais nous vous recommandons de installer la pompe dans un bac d'égouttage ou à proximité d'un siphon de sol. 2: Une autre raison peut être une fuite du joint d'arbre. Le joint d'arbre fuira pendant le période de rodage, mais cela devrait s'arrêter après trois heures de fonctionnement continu ou après opération pendant une semaine. Normalement, la fuite du joint d'arbre sera si faible que l'eau va s'évaporer. Si la fuite est supérieure à une goutte par minute, il y a un défaut dans le joint d'arbre (ou la pompe est toujours en cours de rodage). J'espère que cela pourra vous aider. This is only the easy part. If you are replacing seals, then there is a good chance they've leaked and bearings will need replacing. How about another video to show removal of rotor and bearings as well as dewatering the stator unit.

Hi, Thanks a lot for your comment:) The reason is that for Scala2 we do not offer the rotor/ bearings and stator as spare parts. This is due to the high risk of flooding the stator if not done correctly. Wish you a great day:) Kind Regards Pernille

@@grundfos Can this pump be repaired if the bearings fail? The implication of your statement is that Grundfos dont advise repair of the this pump when bearings fail. Does that mean we should replace the pump after bearing failure?

@@TheGriz403 Throw Scala2 away. Grundfos regards this as a disposable pump. Need to factor in the cost of replacement every 2-4 yrs.

@@ocular57 Thanks, that makes sense. I got about 7 years ago, used 6 months a year. I ordered a replacement for the ease of a direction connection this time. Any recommendations for a pump in the future? Sounds like I'll be buy again in 4 years.

@@grundfos når pumpen er slukket sender den 220 volt ud i rørsystemer når pumpen starter / prøver slukker den hpfi rele da pumpen sider i et stålskib er det ikke så godt da strømmen løber ud i skrovet

@@grundfos I was already helped by a salesman in one of the Facebook pages. You customer service and service department are laughable at best. I'm a contractor and used my own zip code on the forms. Not the zip code to Waldorf MD. I have an the confirmation emails of my tickets however.

@@grundfos thanks for the reply, I just received a third one under warranty so it's all good. But grundfos should make it mandatory for the dealer to supply the customer with the new updated model scala 1. The day it leaks again and it's not under warranty I will DEFINITELY look for a differnt manufacturer. Look at how many views this video got. It's obviously a problem

Matthew, feedback like yours helps us identify and make appropriate corrections - to ensure the SCALA2 reaches its full potential by providing our customers with perfect water pressure. It should be noted that the SCALA2 and SCALA1 are completely different pressure boosting systems. The SCALA2 is a variable-speed pump that provides constant pressure in the system, designed for pressure boosting for domestic applications, such as one- and two-family homes and apartments. Integrated speed control allows the SCALA2 to maintain constant pressure in the taps. The SCALA1 is a fixed-speed pump designed for pressure boosting in domestic water supply and light-commercial applications, such as sports field irrigation or garden irrigation. Complimenti, vendete una pompa con un problema costruttivo: PERDE IMMANCABILMENTE. Possono passare alcuni mesi o un anno, ma non c'è Scala 2 che non faccia questa fine. Assistenza zero. Bravi

@@grundfos Il rivenditore ha già sostiuito la prima l'anno scorso. L'ho ricontattato: non tratta più Grundfos proprio per i troppi problemi con questo modello. Gli altri 4 che mi avete segnalato idem. Il più vicino è a 100 km. Ma il problema è un altro: in presenza di un evidente problema di progettazione e materiali, Grundfos dovrebbe ritirare il prodotto e fornirne uno nuovo. Basta cercare su RU-vid per trovare decine di casi con identico problema. Ma il posto giusto per parlarne non è questo. Ho scritto e telefonato ma non c'è stato verso di affrontare il problema.
