SEE I LOVE this stuff! I see more & More bout you, Pat! I love to hear the stories about your childhood, your thoughts in general, like your come up story. I was born Nov 7 1978. and I was at Ft Jackson for Basic the same time you were! THATS CRAZY! October what? is your birthday? You're so wise, I always assumed you were much older than me, you just looked like your 30 something, cause you eat healthy & work out. I appreciate you man! you give me so much hope!
Patrick you are a blessing to my family this evening. My wife is an insurance sales agent and today she was worried she has hit the target for July and her paycheck has been delayed. I have been trying to think of how I can transform the struggles of insurance sales agents by disrupting their sales process. We just got into the house and the moment i logged into youtube to watch news, i saw this video highlighted for me. Guess this exactly what we needed to hear and watch. I am inspired and will share more on twitter and linkedin for you to see. By the way PHP is not only about America, it will also help people in Kenya. God Bless you so much brother!
Perfect. These were the only 4 words I needed to hear to get my mind flowing with ideas. This may just seem like a RU-vid comment of some rando, but I Promise I will change the world of innovation in a positive way. Thank you Pat and the Valuentaiment crew. You were the ones who are doing what other aren't. That is, you're making us "Legends in the makings".
@@dstir23 Nope. If anything, you should check out @theprojecthercules on Instagram. Big things are coming, not to mention, thank god for the changes in my life.
Any company that has high frictional cost or prices out of proportion to costs are ripe for disruption by digital technology: Real estate, education (colleges, textbooks), and basic healthcare are huge industries that are going to drastically change over the next couple decades.
Education already is. Just look at edx or coursera or even youtube. We have so much information at our fingertips, just gotta be brave enough to try something new out, and formulate insightful questions.
Mashallah, finally see that there is my Muslims brothers following valuetainment and about to do something big in life. So glad to see the word Allah here.
The single best sentence that describes your business: "I wanted to build a company that I wanted to be a part of." That is EXACTLY why I'm starting my own business. I'm no longer worried about starting my own company, I know exactly what I'm going to do now. Thank you.
Thank you Patrick for not giving up and being a disruptor of industry! I will be forever thankful for being an agent with the PHP agency as my life has done a complete 180! Love this industry! See you in Vegas!
Nicolo Machiavelli I prefer PBD over Gary V. I think Gary means well and genuinely wants to uplift people but there is still an air of hype man around him. Patrick has real substance, and I haven't seen anyone else conduct fascinating interviews as he does. Either way, we're blessed in this digital age.
He is a legit and genuine entrepreneur and CEO of his business. Not someone who sells "how to make (fill in the blank) AMAZING RESULTS in ONLY (whatever amount of very short time)". He is actually growing a business scaling people and resources and selling financial services.
1) why have I not asked what the joke was before? Makes total sense that would be your joke of choice. Covers clever thinking, money and family. 2) I too thought that was Warren Buffett albeit slightly distorted. 3)got all the c's. A)conviction: they say "you're serious about this Chef Life aren't you" I reply "Dead." Nothing else needs to be said. B)Compete all I say to people when they want to compete with me in the kitchen "today you've made a mistake, let's see if you can keep up" C)Contribute: the culinary has given me everything. It's given me my joy, my knowledge, my perspective, my connections, my meals, my friends, my life style, my passion, my love, my creativity. I can't and WILL NOT watch it die. D)Challenge: like you said, the restaurant industry is in for a massive overhaul. Like I've said over and over and over again: "I know the future of the industry for I have seen it and have chosen to make it so." You can either help me and be a part of it, or get out of the way and watch me soar by but you sure as hell won't be stopping me. I've had teams of people work together to try to stop me from doing my job, it's a very temporary slow-down to which I generally reply "stop wasting your time, you can't stop me." 4)I've already had past managers and frienemies ask me if I'm hiring now I'm looking forward to strangers asking to be a part of it either for articles or investing, just another small milestone. Which by the way, congrats to you, I know that felt good. Anyways, keep pushing, keep growing, keep disrupting, but most importantly... Stay Passionate! I love you all.
Im a disruptor at work I have shaken the foundation from management to the board level and I never cared about what was in my path. And I've done the 4 C's
Patrick, this has been one of your best videos yet. The beginning especially is just breathtaking and awesome. If you would expand a bit on the intro and make it its own separate video that would be AWESOME!
I work at a Hospital in Germany and that Happens fairly often at refugee Camps. They often get into fights due to lack of language, desperation, and regular stuff.
MY RESPONSE 20:03 THIS inspired TF out of me like im moving inside im MOVEDDD so powerful man im lost for words sir if i ever get on leaders of industry its a super IMAGE BUILD
Pat! I think I must say this. The video you release yesterday "3 min that will Change your life" has really made an impact on my life. Now I take full responsibility for any mistake I made and blame NO ONE. Not even God. too late but Thanks, buddy!!!
Was this 20 minutes, it flashed by like 20 seconds. Amazing story about the guy behind the company, creating my own story right now and I love to expose myself en inspire other people around me!
Next time I see you, it will be good. Better. I was pregnant with my Gabriel when I met you. Thanks for loving your family and the world. You are one of my biggest inspirations. I am genuinely so happy for you.
Patrick! I have watched many of your videos and they are VERY informative and inspiring. I am a cyber security professional by day and musician/mediaprenuer by night. When I make my first million via my music venture, I would love to invite you to dinner to discuss the next level. Keep doing this!
Just got through the beginning but I’m already I’m like DAMN! After watching almost of all of your videos why am I just truly realizing how much of a fucking titan you are 🙌🏿
I love watch your videos. Could you start put Portuguese caption ? I live in the USA but I am from Brazil and I am sure people there would love to see your thoughts and your teachings.
New venture time. Old one hit a wall and couldn't pivot any further; in fact we couldn't even get to market. Many lessons learned from the first venture: timing was important and also being proactive and properly delegating work. We had a great team but I wasn't delegating the way the team needed me to. My leadership skills were not good enough at the time and I was not confident in key areas. That old venture will be put on hold. New venture, we're looking to disrupt an industry and do things differently, mostly because of our own experiences as young professionals and having crappy connections. I've learned to delegate and also learned to bring others on board to grow the team in areas we do not have expertise in. I'm still doing a lot of the work, but I've also delegated. For the time being we are in a testing/experiment phase. I suspect in 6 months we will have a very large network and also have done some experiments. The next phase from there would be to build the team further. My old University has an entrepreneur programme. It gives access to high value networks are mentoring to some of the most influential people in the country. In fact, our Prime Minister was at the opening, so it's a big deal insofar as Entrepreneurial programmes available in the country. They have strong relationships with the venture capitalists here. Let's bring on the disruption.
Amazing video. Compete & Contribute put together are a powerful formula. If anyone here is interested in an amazing about disruption, I highly recommend you "Innovator's Dilemma", a life-changing book if you are an entrepreneur.
Sir! You Don't Know Me Nor I Know You Personally But I Can Say It Openly That Your Success Made Me So Much Happy More Then Anyone Else Even More Than Yourself Too... I Want To See My Self One Day Like You.
Dear Patrick, I wanted to thank you for taking the time to slap others. Additionally I would like to ask two questions. The first being, what are your opinions on tattoos in business settings. The second is more of a request...I’ll be moving into the insurance industry and I was wondering if you had any advice as a new producer? Thank you for you time. Best wishes!
Thanks PBD for the message on the 4 C's. I'm a lot like you with a conviction to compete and disrupt. I'm going to change the RV rental marketplace. This business involves most communication via texting/emailing. Do you have a system or strategy for written sales communication? I start with the basics: I always ask where they are going and I'm genuinely interested in their vacation. People love that. I showcase my unmatched service and quality of units. Thank you again. You motivate me to think. Chicken Danny
Wow, Patrick your videos are amazing, also the joke you said was fantastic hahaha, I'm kinda like that funny person, I've been thinking that the best approach to be potentially in business is always to be serious like a general, now I know that I have just to be myself and follow my challenges with my natural humour when needed, vielen Dank Patrick!
You kinda fast forwarded there. You started your financial pathway and then in 09 you say “we decided…..”. Who is ‘we’? I’m struggling to keep my house in this start up venture. How do you get to a ‘we’ point? It’s hard to get people motivated until “the business is taking off”. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I wonder what makes PHP unique in it's industry. Is it just following the rules from great literature from Patrick's top 100 books? Or what more is there to it? Maybe it's the great hires or the great performance-pay. As it's significant how some of your people are earning.
