it dosent work, when i press ctr D the last line dissapears, i only have one line at a time.

Hey Paul! Sorry for that, well not sure if you solved it yet or not, but I’ve made a newer version of this video, where I share a illustrator script, that does this division in a matter of seconds. Without all the hassle in this video! Check it on my video gallery, is a bit more recent, but for some reason RU-vid is just promoting this one. Yeah! I get it, it’s just tricky because I don’t know which step are you skipping. Because it should work. Did you select the copy checkbox ? Before you do the duplication ?

This only seems to work if you want to split the circle in an even number of parts. I want to split a circle in three parts.

Hi Tabletop, You can split in 12 parts and then using the pathfinder tool. Connect 4 and 4 and 4. Or if you use the polar grid tool. And double click on it to open the options and on the radial dividers choose 3, or how many you want. Hopefully this helps!

Nooo :( that was a pickle, so I’ve a script for that! It’s on a link in the video description. It lets you make any number of splits!! It’s amazing!

I'm stuck at the expand appearance :( when selected it's not clickable

After doing the expanded appearance, right-click over the lines and in-group them. I've made a more recent video, where I actually made a script for doing these divided circles. Have a look, it's much easier than this tutorial. Just a few clicks and you get all the things you need.

I know!!! Well I felt bad about it, and ended up o a 2 week journey, developing a Illustrator script that will do any number of divisions.. like with just one click, it has a small UI that you insert the number of divisions you need, then you just click ok and it does it. The same is Sectio is on my shop.masd.cc I also made a video showing it :) have a look!
