I have a monster Maxillaria variabilis, lovingly called Cousin Itt. I should have revamped it this year, but I did not have the heart to take him apart. He is now 7x 5he size he was when I bought him. Love maxillarias for their vigor 😀

Hi Michael! I just ordered the maxillaria- hope it makes the trip to Pa! I also bought your Phal Gan Lin Golden Apple previously. It is growing lots of roots and is in S/H. Doing well. I’ve learned a lot from you - keep up the great videos, and thanks!!

My maxillaria sits there doing nothing for two years lol No idea what it wants. It does grow some new growths, but otherwise is about to go under the hedge

Mine doesn't do much either it doesn't seem to spread out it just gets taller and doesn't Bloom that much. I think I'll try repotting it and see if that'll revitalize it.

Hi Michael I have my orchids using semi hydroponic in lyca but Im thinking of trying semi water culture I saw part 1 but didnt see a part 2. I like the idea of being able to see the roots . Any thoughts? thanks Donna

Hi Michael, I know this is a little late but I think you are dividing your plants at sizes that are way too small. Maxillaria tenuifolia can get very large and you will never really get them to enjoy them blooming at their full potential when you divide them so small.
