Last year I planted my bleeding heart.I am in NJ zone 6 .....when it’ll appear on the ground....there is no sign

I’m in the same zone and the warmer weather made more growth faster than expected before I got a chance to divide them. Is it ok to still do once some greens and flowers have begun to appear?

I bought a bag of bare roots today; 5 for $13.99 @ Costco. Pink. I was planning on planting with my astilbes but they struggled last year and I think it’s where I planted them under an established red photina tree…very rooty area. I think I will dig up the Astibles and rototill the area put top soil down, plant up and mulch. Thank you, when they get big enough I will divide.
