Here are complete instructions on how we made our backyard stream and pond. I hope it helps. Goplus Pressure Bio Filter: www.amazon.com/Goplus-Pressur...
What a small world this RU-vid creation is. There I was looking for ideas for an outside pond & stream, video after video...not even looking at the names anymore... and this one pops up. I learned so much on other topics from you, MHPGardener, WebCajun, Navajopa31, and others. With all the losses over the last few years (including the later two), I am glad as hell to see you two still at it, educating folks around the world!
Some really great tweeks coverage for our diy garden stream using liner and the my adjustments which now I've seen your video and watched then heard you say you really need imagination and your very right 😊. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful.
The sound of rushing water is so relaxing and watching the fish is so calming. You have created the perfect oasis. Welcome back, I've missed your videos. You always help!
Thank you, we're so used to hearing the water that it's kind of depressing when we have the pumps shut off. Kind of like how a house seems lifeless with no electricity. We really do enjoy and use this part of the property. One of our favorite things to do is eat breakfast in the gazebo. Such a treat to be surrounded by the sound of water, birds chirping and flowers in bloom. Not to mention a good cup of coffee, LOL.
Hi you two, this is an amazing pond... omg I am jealous... you did a professional job I think... go big on this pond.. love all the flowers and plants so pretty..
You prolly dont care but does anyone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Bruce Apollo Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Wow! Beautiful, and the landscaping is breath taking too. I noticed the frog when you were showing the fountain, but I wasn't sure if it was real. The frog whisperer and you did a fantastic job. My muscles are sore from watching this. Hahaha, but what an awesome view.
Before we built the pond and stream we rarely saw a frog around here. The minute we built it, frogs came out of nowhere. Pretty much at any given time you can spot about 10 of them lounging around on the rocks, on lily pads, in the waterfalls. Me and the frog whisperer get a kick out of watching them.
Thank you, you wouldn't believe how quickly the pond came together. I think it took us about 3 weeks. We were amazed at how fast the backyard was transformed into what you see there. I'm sooooo lucky to have the frog whisperer.
Omg your stream, pond and swing is a dream!!!!! Would love to have a cup of coffee watching the fish and listening to the stream!!! Its beautiful, you're very blessed
@@imstillworkin I hope so to , my daughter's have told me there grocery bill is 100 dollars more a week we are in Canada so u all pay less then we do l have enjoyed your videos for years and was so glad u started posting again ty
Honestly this was the best video I've seen. It's very instructional where if your a Donkey like me, I can understand everything also the biggest thing is that liner. Man oh mang, talk about saving dough, ray, me, faso, latty, Dough! Forgetaboutit. Thank you and God Bless You and everyone else.
@@imstillworkin Thank You, Darlin'. I am always checking your pages to see if anything you guys put up has not come through my daily feed. I have NO intention of missing a single one of your videos, ever! I thought maybe you took a well-deserved vacation or break. This project was fabulous, as usual! IMHO your version was even more beautiful than your "inspiration". Those river rocks you used gave a magical effect, and the nuances you added with twists, turns, flowers & all things natural made for a breathtaking scene. You two are so talented...it's just unbelievable! Neither of you is afraid of a lot of hard work, either (Smile). I'm in the process of relocating to senior housing which will finally afford me the safety shower situation I need to keep safe & allow for more regular hydro-therapy to help w/ mobility. I'll miss this beautiful apartment which was so reminiscent of the beautiful home I had to leave behind, after my husband, Lee died. But it's more important to be safe than sorry. Please keep taking care of yourselves...I'm glad you have each other to snuggle down with. My favorite "Two Peas in a pod" ! xoxo T
Loving your own little piece of heaven. You both are so inspiring and so generous to share your knowledge and time with us. A lot of hard work and now you are enjoying it together swinging in the moonlight talking to your frog friends.... does life get any better than this! Thanks for always sharing it truly makes a difference.
This is SO fantastic! I watch a lot of pain building videos, usually done by professionals, and they are expensive and intricate and everything that I could never aspire to do. I absolutely love that you were able to accomplish something so beautiful with only your own Ingenuity, a reasonable amount of money in materials, and hard work. The result is gorgeous and I hope you are not only extremely proud of what you've created, but enjoy every moment of it! Thank you, thank you so much for sharing with us!
Thank you, I always feel like I'm not making a bit of sense when I'm narrating these videos. This one was especially difficult to do, thank goodness for that blue arrow, LOL.
Awesome pond build, Great inspiration! I want to put a river pond in my backyard for my turtle and some fish and this looks perfect! Thanks for sharing guys!
Your pond and stream looks great. Good job. I have enjoyed your videos for years. I especially appreciate all the canning videos you have made. Thank you!
Thank you very much for this video. I'd like to do something similar in my backyard. Though on a much smaller scale. I just didn't think I had the money to start on it yet. Looking at all of this and your suggestions, I think I can begin gathering bits and pieces here and there and actually get started on this!! Thank you again for sharing!!
What perfect timing! I've followed you for years and learned much from your videos. I was looking for videos on this very topic last evening and was frustrated with what I was (and was not) finding. I appreciate your no nonsense, genuine advice!
I feel your pain. I watched a whole lot of videos when we were planning this project and I didn't find anything close to what I was looking for. That really stings when you are in the country and paying through the nose for the amount of bandwidth you are using. I vowed to make the video I wanted to see and here it is. It took a while but I finally got around to it.
You wouldn't believe how many botanical gardens we've been to. The one with the stream was probably the smallest garden we've seen and it was the most fascinating of all of them. It's in Wilson, North Carolina if any one is interested in seeing it for themselves.
Wow you guys has given me such a wonderful idea I didn't know how I wanted to do my pond but I am going to do it well I live in a subtropical area but instead of a lot of flowers I'm going to substitute storms with palm trees and cacti I will show that on RU-vid when I am done with it is going to be beautiful I have a lot of mountains on my property and it will look so well with the mountains running through my property
Hello from central Illinois. I Loved watching this video, your explanation of the pond, waterfalls and creek construction was very informative plus entertaining. My husband and I are planning to build ourselves a water feature on our side yard which has a natural slope just like yours. We got some great ideas for ours by watching your video. You guys done an awesome job. It's beautiful! Hopefully ours turns out as good as yours did. 😊
Love this! I'm in the process of preparing my liner. This has been a yr long solo project working here n there...digging by hand. I'm using rubber roofing as well. Wish I could've gotten my hands on enough of the black stuff used here but white/grey was all I could find at a good price. The plan is to cover it with thick black plastic so it doesn't show. Fingers crossed that works out🤞Nice work u two! I so can't wait to kick back n enjoy mine as well.
Great clip... Bobby is badass. I'm gonna have to hire a group of "Bobby's" to build mine. I have been watching clips and re-designing my pond for a few years. Great minds think alike. My pond will be very similar to this one. Thanks. This is one of theee best clips ever.
This is a fantastic video. Informational and inclusive. Thank you so much for the details and the candor of the parts that didn’t work and w redesigned. I want to put some kind a pond/water feature in my yard with beautiful plants like yours surrounding it. I also have ducks and I would like to have a nice big pond for them. my problem is the duck Poo. Seems nearly impossible to keep clean LOL from other videos i have watched. I wonder if the moving water of the stream would help, hmmmm. Something to think about. I absolutely love that stream you have and the waterfalls going to the big pond, thank you
We've been to Longwood twice and it was there that Bobby fell in love with the concept of adding water features to the backyard. I told him a few days ago that when this coronavirus thing is over we need to go back to Longwood to see their new fountains. They were under construction the last time we were there. It's sad to think that those gardens are closed right now.
imstillworkin I hope next time you come up this I could meet you there. I’m only half hour away. It’s one of my favorite places to go and relax and steal ideas too. One of the favorite places in there is the Chime Tower Garden.
