I noticed the overflow box was full after the you inserted the pipe. Will that increase the chance of a flood with s pump failure since more water volume would be moving into the sump?
No, the water will only flow into the sump until it is down to the bottom of those drilled holes, then stop, so the overflow box will remain full to the bottom of the holes during a pump/power failure
it wont cause flooding because there will be no debris since the overflowbox will now also act as a settlement chamber. the only reason the water level is higher is because he placed the holes on top
Hi, Nag drill ka ba kuya ng hole sa floor ng aquarium mo for the overflow? Also yung maliit na pvc na color blue is yung return pump ba yun? If so what is your recommended pump for return? Thanks
@@JohnBullas Yes, that's correct. I've added a long pvc but did not glued it from the bottom union pipe so it's removable. because of the water pressure it holds itself and no risk as well as this is just to shorten the length of the water falling from the top.
Charles Apdua boss my tank is 4x2x2.. plan ko sana pagawan ng overflow, should i use the pipe sizes u used o pwedi din ang 1inch overflow then 1/2 return? I’ll be using rio 14hf sa return. Thanks
Matt Prinsloo since when collecting shit is something bad? Yes it will collect more and it will grow useful bacteria for the tank and yes more maintenance...
