YES!!! haha i like when the teachers have a good positive attitude and dont sounds so mono toned, it makes the learning experience a lot easier and it motivates me more! Thats whats up! haha
Did this at my school dance, soooo many chicks over me! Girls like the spinning on the floor I made it a combo with a windmill and definatley looks sweet! Had my friend video tape me in the dance circle
Thanks men ! I will do that. During those 5months I was filming myself everyday and I already have about 100 videos of me doing flares. I will do a progression video on flares as soon as I can do them :).
Right now I'm training in gymnastics. Practicing flare becomes easy when you master the basis. Pommel top practices will help with transitions for the flare. It will give you the height you will need. I do see a big difference with training on the parallel bars and pommel top/pommel horse.
yeah i had the same problem for awhile, but just make sure u have a really strong wrist. i strengthen my wrist just by doing loads of hand stands. and some times i wear wrist straps. just take it easy :)
Peace bro. If you can add a slow motion portion to your tutorials, especially for the harder moves like this, that would be amazing. That way we can see the motion in full movement so we can study what the body is doing. Great tutorials bro.I'm 35 yrs old just getting back into bboying. These videos are a great help.
I love break dancing though I feel when i c it I can do it but when I do it I fail so plz post as much as possible a let my wish come true p.s. u r amazing at breakdancing I wish I was as good as u
Hand to feet stretch's are good to do as well. What hand to feet stretches are, are you sit on the ground and stretch your legs outward like as if you are going to do sitting leg splits and reach for your feet. you can also do one leg hand to feet stretches which is where you bend either your left or right leg in and your the hand that is on the side with the straight leg and those are basically two stretches that would help with flares air flare elbow flares and so on. please read my reply too
This is what you must focus on: When all your weight is balance one hand, the other hand should be coming down to catch you. Not only does this cause ur weight to shift due to the extra force of the arm coming down, but it allows you to easily catch yourself because ur hand is already near the ground when it hits. If your hand is slamming, it means two things, you're weight never shifted at any point in time to one arm, or you hand is just not coming down fast enough.
yes, it is .. but when you get used to it ..it doesnt hurt anymore.. just remember to stretch or warm your wrist .. cause a lot of pressure is going to be on your wrist .. goodluck ! :)
Yeah I used to break dance until I had what is called a pilonidal cist and sinus. in which I had to have 12.something inch removed from my back surgically. and I can't stretch my back like I used too but I can still do some 6 9 12 steps such. I'm just really mad that I didn't get to learn how to do flares and or air flares and stuff. Great video. I will record me doing some 6 9 and 12 step moves. and vid respond to this video its in my history so I can get to it to do the response!
If you cant do them clean, do them ugly. But do A LOT! Push your limits. Aim for 4 flares. Do you still only get 2? Aim for 5! Keep track of your legs and how they swing. Move your arms as fast as you can. AND FILM YOURSELF. You can identify your mistakes better, if you know exactly what you are doing wrong! Pick your favorite bboy and watch him doing flares in slow motion. Now compare them to your flares. Spot the differences and try to improve. Be critical about everything. DO NOT SLACK! peace
Yeah hey do you have videos of your flares ? Because I think i know how to get the hips higher. I have studied the flare like no others before. Everything has to be right at the right time. Keep training ! I'm at 3 flares now but the last one is really crappy LOL. Also if you need help on other powermoves like headspins and windmills or even flips. I really good at those, so you can ask me about them anytime ;)
Dude I have the exact same problem, intensely strong/flexible. There's a technique hiding from us haha. It's still possible for more rounds though if you don't get high in the back. But hmm, maybe trick your mind like you're going to transition from flare to airfare. Since airflares require that your hips are up. Maybe we can discover the technique that way and implement it in our flares for that hip up action. D:
In a sense you would think it would, but no. Your strength is more beneficial then the down fall of your weight. Meaning your strength out weighs your mass. Every single moves require strength but thats not all every move contains either. It contains stamina, flexibility, and control also. So you shouldn't really worry about your weight. You should focus on everything. There are so pretty buff guys out there that can do chair flares and all that fancy types of moves.
I'm trying to do the flare a couple of months, but still have a problem at the beginning.. I just can't stand on my second hand after the kick.. maybe i need strengthen my hands or what should i do?
Is not normal. 1. Keep your hips higher as possible. 2.When you do the initial kick and you're going to up to your face the other leg, press the floor with your support arm to keep high 3. When you are in 'V' position, don't put your arms too far to your body, because you'll feel pain in your hand and you'll go down. If you put your arms as closed as possible to your body you don't feel pain and it helps to keep your arms strong and your hips high 4.Don't bend your knees ,don't bend your arms
how to kick my left leg up its really hard for me i cant even do a single flare coz my left leg just sweeps the n stops me ...plzzz do help me thnkzz ...tips plzz
