This is the most helpful tutorial ever. It’s goes into depth and tells me all the little things that are crucial to getting my front flip. This helped me get my front flip thank you :))))
This could be relatively subjective! If you throw your head down to see the ground before setting, you'd be correct in saying that it'll send you down. But, if you're simply spotting the ground to help set up for blocking prior to the takeoff, this can help with the overall execution of the flip. However, it is perfectly okay to keep a neutral head position throughout entire movement! Thanks for the tip!
hey official gaming use mats or cushions and when I first started I used to act like I was about to do a front flip but then I don't really jump I I just roll once you start to feel more confident start flipping but for support you reach with your arms and push yourself along a little in the air then when your feeling more confident do the same thing without hands don't worry if you land on your bum I only land upright half the time and that is after practice just make sure you have something to stop the landing from being painful like mats or cushions. don't be scared
+Paris WantsToHaveFun Try videotaping yourself! Then, using your video, you can pause it at certain intervals to compare your form to my form in this video. By doing this, you can pinpoint what issues to improve. Hope this helps!
+Chris Stewart You need to block, and propel yourself up. you have to jump off your toes, and then *quickly* pull your knees to your chest and arms on knees, like if you were rolling in the air. If you're still having trouble, you're either : 1: Not accelerating fast enough 2: Not tucking in fast enough or stiff enough Or 3: Messing up the blocking part. Hope this helps!
Dude , workout your legs very good for 2 months so you can jump very high..Then just do it on the grass(i did it with my friend to show off lol) and i landed it on my foot(Actually i used 1 hand but anyways)then when i landed it right(after 3-5 times on the grass) , i thought why dont i try it on asphalt and i did it:D Now i am so cool , i do it everyday in school and all dem females want me lol (joke :D )
Tima1_ I practice and always land on my feet with my basically still in the tuck so I guess I should do legs workouts like you suggested but what exactly?
Dude your tutorials are great there the most detailed and explained tutorials and by far my favorite when I'm trying to teach a friend a new trick I show them your tutorials first so they have a better understanding of what to do unlike those other tutorials that are basically saying to just go outside and do it rather than explaining how to. your awsome dude
So ironic that I learned a front flip yesterday... On flat after 9 months of front flip training and today I saw this video and it explained everything perfect and helped me brush things up on it and now it's even stronger... Flipping in the hallways at school with your buddies is the best felling. That's why leaning this trick is great!!! THANKS
Dude, nice! Congratulations! I'm glad I could help; and yeah, doing these in the hallways during school sounds pretty legit! I've totally done that before, haha.
This video is exactly what I needed. I learned the basics for parkour and free running in a gym but my tricks are self taught with the hep of videos like this. You explain the finer points really well dude. Im checking out your other videos for some more tips. Keep up the good work my dude!🤙🏾
Awesome tutorial man! I'm starting a series of videos on RU-vid and I'm definitely going to recommend this tutorial! It explains the lot, not confusion, and has an awesome energy about the video! Keep it up man :)
Malin Davilski The second you flip start looking over to a spot in front of you. Choose a location to look at when you come over from the flip. The second you see that spot let go and keep your legs straight. -Hope this helps!- 💕
Emma Saulters don't do that, because it will make you turn out and when you start to add tricks to your front flips, you can't do it or your technique will be horrible or you won't be able to do it
Hey man, just thought u should know i appreciate all the effort youve put into ur tutorials, and how u reply to anyone asking for help. Really useful stuff! Thanks :)
I learned this 10 years ago fairly simple to learn guys just commit don't hesitate and you'll have it and once u learn it your never forget how to do it
Hey Chris I just stared watching u and I can't explain how much u helped me out with tricking! Especially my b twist I haven't got it yet but I'm training a lot to get it
I keep landing on my butt when I try frontflip sometimes I land in crouched positions which hurts my legs can anyone tell me how to land properly thanks:)
Christopher Tung I messed it up during rugby practice. It sucks. so far I am out for like a month. But now I think I only need a week then I can get back in PK and freerunning.
one tip I can give is start on a trampoline to get technique and confidence than go on to a soft surface like sand or something than go on grass and finally concrete .. and in no time you will be flipping on any surface
I always used to keep a tuck the whole time which either made me land on my butt or in a crouched position, if you need to help this then what you should do is open as he said in the video which is when you're almost done make your body straighter
Your videos made me to Webster, aerial and backflip but I don't know how to backhand spring am too scared for my arms.please teach how to do it without breaking your arm.

Hey great tutorial could someone explain to me how you know when to open up if it is a blind landing because I get this mixed up with front flips and dub fronts overotated all the time because I don’t awareness because of the blind landing
Great tutorial! In your opinion, how high should a person be able to jump to complete this? I've tried the front flip and always land on my butt. I usually go "loose" and dizzy before attempting the flip because I get scared. Is there anyway to combat the looseness and dizziness?
The front flip is really a combination of height and rotational speed. The higher you go, the slower you need to rotate. The lower you go, the faster you will need to rotate. There isn't really a set jump height per say. So, if your jumps aren't quite as high, practice rotating faster. Eventually, the height will come with practice. :) In order to combat the dizziness, you will just have to get used to rolling around haha. After practicing and doing enough front flips and front rolls, your body will adapt to it and you will no longer feel dizzy after doing just a few of them. In regards to remaining tight, you will have to work on your core strength to fight the forces pulling your body outward. Good luck!
