Ummmm! Wow!! Like some others have said, I've heard over and over again, artist say that they laid down a lot of layers. Really had no idea what that really meant; but my goodness what a difference in how something looks, even when I am still seeing the white of the paper come through. It looks so much more beautiful. Takes some time, but totally worth the end result. Great lesson🤗 thank you❣
Thanks Lori 😊 this is great 👍 starting from the beginning 👍 is exactly 💯 👍 what I need 😀 you are going to have lots of new followers once they buy the Star Joy pencils ✏ they will be watching every video to see how to use them correctly 😀 yay 🙌 🙌.
Wow that is great! I have seen and heard to put down layers but no one has ever explained how it was to be done. I had no idea! Thanks so much for these videos as they are a big help. Hope you and yours are doing better 🤗
Wow, a great lesson I watched the first three videos from my hospital bed and can't wait to get home to and begin practicing my lay down technique! (Had to have surprise surgery, gallbladder needed to be removed... No warning didn't see it coming until it came and it came in a big painful way 🤩. All is well, but recovery will take a while. Blessings! 💖
Wow this really hit home. I think I really under stand tooth on paper now. So many mistakes I need to fix. When purchasing a coloring book what does the the tooth have to be for good paper. What I am awkwardly asking is there a number or something to look for. Thanks for the help
Lifting the pencil sounds kind of difficult... I will give it a try first on a white sheet of paper and then on a book. Lets get practice!!! Thank you!
My right hand shakes from Familiar Tremors so holding in the middle or end is problematic haha. I did buy some pencil grips that have helped with hand fatigue. What’s your advice?
I have cerebral palsy and pencil grips to help sometimes a lot of times I just have to do it with a lot of small breaks but if you absolutely can't hold your pencil further back just hold it like you normally would and go as light as possible
@@denamueller7333 thanks for your reply & encouragement. I have some grips which I should have used yesterday. My hand is killing me today. I’ll switch to the left today & use those grips. They really so help dont they!
I've been following you for a couple years now, Lori, and I finally got the hang of holding my pencil at the back. When you turn your paper slightly for the second layer; is that what is called cross hatching?
it gets easier and more comfortable. It's actually my most comfortable spot on the pencil to color from. It's just weird for beginners because you are used to the tip.
