Lol same. My paternal grandmother taught me to read playing cards coz she used to read cards when she lived in the Netherlands. My maternal grandmother who is Indian taught me medicinal herbs. When I was in highschool I told a friend of mine, and she told the rest of the school. I became a " satanic witch " overnight. 🙄

Reversals are possible for playing cards. Look, for instance, at the three of hearts. Two of the hearts are right side up and the third is upside down. Not all cards are identical right side up and up side down. You can also make a small mark in the upper left hand corner to indicate the "up side."

For the Tarot Readers, learning Cartomacy, that does like using reversal cards and their meanings, there's an easy fix for allowing it. This is more than using your intuition on deciding. I've done my playing card decks, as this that are only for card readings. They're marked, but lightly so. Buy yourself, the thin felt tipped black marker that has the finest tip, like as for nearly ink pen writing. So not any of the heavier type of Magic Markers. This will write a thin line. You do want to ensure all cards are facing upright correctly before this, and do double check, before you actually mark each card. If you're doing the Court Cards, above the border, center both horizontally and vertically and make a dot. Mine is actually this size. ● It isn't too big to hurt, plus this size is easily seen while your spread is laid out of the table. Mainly, just try to center them all approximately the same distance down from the top vertically and always for horizontally, equally centered. Oh! I bought some decks of the flexible plastic types. I love these. However, in each deck, three cards demanded extra attention while spot dotting them. I know the Ace of Hearts was one, a Eight was one. I don't recall the third one, but you can't trust the cards back if upright to be correct for the front facing cards. I wanted the front "reading" facing sides to be correct. As noted, I needed to reverse three to get the deck's front sides all in the upright positions. I would've prefer they were printed correctly. It's no sweat though, not for the purpose I bought them for. 😊 Unless you want to explain why the dots to the inquisitive minds, if and when they inquire, just tell them, "It helps me to zero in for greater insights into your reading." 🥰 It is a 100% true statement.

I use the 54 card deck with the two Jokers. I came up with a system I can use Regular playing to represent all "every" Card in the Rider Waite Tarot Deck. My system allows one to use the 54 card deck to represent all 78 cards of the Rider Waite Tarot Deck. The way I do this is I use a regular poker deck with two Jokers. I use the hearts and spades to represent the Major Arcana and also the Minor Arcana cards. The way I do this is I write on top of the cards from the Ace of Hearts to the ten of hearts. The Ace of Hearts I have THE MAGICIAN written across the top, The two of Hearts I have THE HIGH PRIESTESS written across the top, The three of Hearts I have THE EMPRESS written across the top, The four of Hearts I have THE EMPEROR written across the top, The five of Hearts I have THE HIEROPHANT written across the top, The six of Hearts I have THE LOVERS written across the top, The seven of Hearts I have THE CHARIOT written across the top, The eight of Hearts I have STRENGTH written across the top, The nine of Hearts I have THE HERMIT written across the top, The ten of Hearts I have WHEEL OF FORTUNE written across the top. Now I write across the top of the spades cards as; The Ace of spades I have JUSTICE written across the top, The two of spades I have THE HANGED MAN written across the top, The three of spades I have DEATH written across the top, The four of spades I have TEMPERANCE written across the top, The five of spades I have THE DEVIL written across the top, The six of spades I have THE TOWER written across the top, The seven of spades I have THE STAR written across the top, The eight of spades I have THE MOON written across the top, The nine of spades I have THE SUN written across the top, and The ten of spades I have JUDGEMENT written across the top. That Leaves The Fool and THE WORLD Left Which I write on top of each joker. One Joker has THE FOOL written on it and the other Joker has THE WORLD written on the top of it. Now how you do a reading When you turn over a card and the word that is written across the top is at the top you read it as it's Major Arcana's meaning and if the name is at the bottom when it is flipped over in a reading you read it as the Minor Arcana meaning in a reading Now all the Jacks is written Page at the top and Knight at the bottom. If in a reading the word page is at the top it's read as being the page, but if the word night is at the top it is read as the night The Minor Arcana to Suit conversion is as this (Cups= Hearts) (Pentacles=Diaminds) (Wands= Clubs) (Swords= Spades)
That's a great system. I use the system Caitkyn Keegan uses on Illuminated Tarot and playing cards deck on cheaper playing cards. I like the writing on top and bottom system do it is specific. Caitlyns system depends on intuition to separate minor and major arcana.

I thought diamonds were fire hence the red, and for some reason clubs look more like pentacles to me. Interesting how these systems are labeled. I will try playing cards out. I’m so used to tarot, and took up Russian gypsy cards recently.
why is there so many different meanings for one card in cartomancy? i feel like it’s really hard to get accurate information. one website will say new beginnings and the next will say sickness for the same card.
I’ve found that it is up to you to figure out how you want to interpret your meanings. with playing cards it’s a bit difficult to have a set meaning but as long as you stick to your own interpretations, your readings should still be quite accurate regardless.
I'm not sure if you will ever read this but must try. Haven't done cartomancy before but yes to tarot (yrs ago). Bought a new deck. While watching a movie tonight shuffled the deck and then intentionally forced cards opposite direction as it felt I should. After 45 minutes looked at the deck and EVERY single card was in the upright position. This cannot be?! How? Wasn't paying attention, just wanted to get feel of cards. Has this happened to anyone else?

Amazing video!! I was wondering what the difference between 9 for change and 10 for end of cycle. Does end of cycle mean I need to move on to the next stack, or does it mean an end to a kind of era?
In my interpretation 10 means an end of cycle and moving ahead to the next stage. In numerology 10 breaks down to 1+0 which equals 1 or a new beginning at a different (higher) level. Could also be an end of an era depending on what the surrounding cards are saying. Thanks!
I understand that most the cards aren’t reversible but Aces and jokers can be reversed right? And what about hearts and spades depending on direction some hearts and spades will be more upside down or right side up depending on which number of card- or do you just straight read no reversals?

Interesting your take on reversals the method I was taught is that the card on the right of the card you are focused on influences the card you are reading and if one above would also influence the focus card (the spades would be negative meaning of the number of the spade card) therefore a six card reading two ,rows of six the card on the right and the card on the top row both influence the card you are reading as you read the bottom row as the main row have you come across this method?
Question: when using standard playing cards, would you use 1 (52 card) deck, or more than 1 deck? Because, in this video's example the past could be a 3 of ❤️...suppose the future or the present comes up (the "value") of the 3 of 💕. If you have one deck, it would be a different value, wouldn't it? Like a 3 of clubs?
Hi so this is my first time reading with cards and after watching this video i tried a 3 spread deck. I want to know how my relationship/friendship with this person is and the spread i got was this past: 6 clubs present: king of diamonds future: ace of hearts i understand that the acee of hearts represents a new start/fresh relationship but the past and present i am still confused about. can i have some help please?
im still new so please dont be offended, your past can mean that you and this specific person or your relation has probably gone through a rough phase but you both still made it through via your actions(which can mean that you both took active efforts to keep your relation alive and didnt loose touch/fight; even if you did fight y’all maybe made it through) the present which is king of diamonds can indicate your (probably) ability to handle the practicalities of the relationship. you don’t just look at the emotional side but probably also look at the practical side of this relation and can see things clearly. your future shows ace of hearts which can mean that you and this person’s relation might develop into something new in the future. since it is hearts it can mean in a few months or so. its either that your it can mean that you’ll be able to develop a new emotional relation with someone else entirely, i doubt that’s the case since your question focused on that person specifically. i hope this helped you in some way :)
There are different traditions and schools of thought when it comes to this question. As I see it whatever works for you is the correct way of doing it.
Different traditions have their own interpretations. As I learned it Hearts correspond to Cups which corresponds to Water. But whatever works for the reader is what is important.

Loved this video! I had a reading several weeks ago and have been amazed. I shuffled the cards my self and the first 2 lay outs were..ace of diamond straight to ace of2..then second lay out was ace of heart to the ace of heart to ace of 8. I was amazed how I shuffled and got such a straight lay out. The reader said this was my shuffle and all was very good. Do you agree? Just wondering
It depends on each reader's interpretation. We each bring different viewpoints to the table. But I'd say it sounds like things working out for you as they are meant to. Things progressing in order. Thanks!

I will tell you how I do and that the Reader's I've gone to have done it. You are the Reader, doing their reading for them. You read it from your view PPF, reading from left to your right. Every Reader I gone to does it as this too.
Hello, I am completely passionate about this subject I followed your advice and also my instinct Maybe you could offer a little input? My question was/is will I have a good future with my fiancé? Things haven’t been great lately however when I drew my three cards I pulled a Jack of Hearts for past a 3 of hearts for present and a queen of spades for future. You might wanna be aware that someone may be trying to infiltrate your relationship take a good look at the people you bring around him it wasn't necessarily a bad reading but a warning
The Queen of Spades card is a troubling one. Could be an indication of someone else moving in to disrupt the relationship or tensions/conflicts in general.

If you are interested in numerology the greatest success that ive had was with the Stefs Magic Numbers (just google it) - I found it the most helpful treatment i've tried.
