Come knit this beautiful stitch with me! Use size 6 US knitting needles, cast on 36-40 stitches for scarf or 52 stitches for wide cowl (knit lengthwise then seam up edges). Make sure to cast on an even number of stitches. I'm knittng on hand dyed sock yarn.
Perfect way to show off beautiful hand dyed or handspun fingering weight yarn (sock yarn)! This stitch doesn't curl and works up beautifully, looking like a woven texture. Very simple stitch, 2 rows repeated.
Cast on Loosely even number of stitches.
Row 1 (RS): *Knit 1, Yarn Front, Slip 1, Yarn Back; repeat from * across row
Row 2 (WS): *Purl 1, Yarn Back, Slip 1, Yarn Front; repeat from * across row
Repeat Rows 1-2 over and over until length is achieved. Bind off loosely. :) Happy Knitting!
