For explosiveness work on strength training and incorporate eccentric damage into all of workouts. Also when doing push-ups when you do the actual push-up motion come up as quickly as you can. that builds explosiveness that will eventually lead to the ability to do clap pushups (explosive pushups).
@@burneracc2567 I did some explosive push ups yesterday because of one of the other videos. I did 5 and couldn't lift anymore. He said daily you want to do 100 but reps of 25. So I kept going every 30 seconds I would try again.. 3.. 3..2..2..2..3..3..2. I was sore after but did it. I went to bed, woke up to go piss and my shoulder was on fire. Even now it's still hurting pretty bad. Numbness in my left hand. I'm new to this though.. hence why I've come here. Oh and ya.. I was probably doing it wrong. I knew posture was a thing but I thought I knew what that posture was. This video makes me think I was very wrong.

I started training again because I stopped in 2 months in 2 weeks I went from 25 to 45 I don’t know I improved so fast it’s probably because of the weighted training.
I don’t really train pushups that much anymore because I’m focusing a lot more on core but I can now do around 50ish pushups like all the way up and down full lockout.
Just be ready for the rude comments, and people critiquing your every move. You can't take what everyone says to heart, though, it's also good to be open minded at the same time. Putting yourself out there isn't for everyone, but if you have the right mind set, and you're willing to have set backs along the way, then follow your heart.
I thought I could do 10 push-ups straight...Then I realized I was doing all of them wrong. Back to 0 now. Though I would like to say thank you. Your helping alot of people.
My friend lost a push up competition in the Navy because the guy in first place was doing some snake bullshit. My friend still came in second doing real pushups but couldn’t close the gap against that.
@@jordyliterario It just shows that you've mastered the basics with high reps, and that was one of my goals. You're breaking down muscle either way with high reps low volume or low reps high volume exercises, which I also do with a weight vest. So long as you can do it & won't injure yourself & supplement it with enough rest & good nutrition to build them stronger & bigger then yeah, it's good for you in the long run.
I'm a fifteen year-old boy who just wants to get fit to spite all the people in my class who thought that I was weak. After a couple months of difficult training sessions at home during quarantine, I can't wait for my classmates to see their reaction to me now! This is thanks to you, my dude!
Thanks Chris and Thenx team! I've been struggling with push ups and connecting with my core after having my two boys. I watched this video a week ago, and after daily practice, I was able to not only achieve my goal but also smash out 4 sets of 8 push ups. Thanks so much again and I wish you and your team all the best for 2020! Take care and can't wait to see what you guys do next ❤️
I surrender!!!. This episode on the push up was simply masterful. Nobody as far as I know seems to attach the importance a push up deserves. If you don't push it out right you don't pull it out right and every single progression on becomes a nightmare. Thanks for highlighting the importance of a push up and pointing out what makes all the difference between poor and proverbial execution.
jupa [Ju] not because of him bc of YOU your the one making the sacrifice don’t get me wrong all the info he giving you did help a whole lot that I do understand bc what he says does help me but the change really starts with YOU!!🤘🏽💪🏽
THIS was the hardest video I had to get through... Because I NEED this information... BUT his PERFECT BODY and those JEANS were VERY distracting!!! -I need holy water!-
I was able to do 40 at one go until I saw this and decided to give it a try. My pushups plummetted from 40 to 8. It was then I realised that my form was wrong all the time. Thanks, Chris!
Great value as usual. I would personally love it if you could make a video about meals suggestions (cheap, easy and fast to prepare), and your take on the management of calories. Also, variations of at-home workouts are always welcomed.
Hey Chris thanks for always posting quality content. I've started doing 100 pushups 3 times a week after watching your push up variation video and I'm already starting to see results. Keep up the good work!
Hey, Could you as well tell us some breathing techniques when doing all your exercises in your videos? It would help me a lot because I time to time get confused if I breath right or wrong.
@@AthHomeboyG888 you'll accomplish more by consistently breathing regulated by delivering oxygen to your muscles and reducing acidification of carbon dioxide. Oxygen plays an important roll in creating more ATP (from ADP). Hold your breath is limiting yourself a lot. Likewise for breathing too much. That's referred to as gassing yourself out. Try to work on in on half your rep, twice as long out on the last half of the rep. You'll notice a significant endurance gain with practice, of course.
When ur a girl and u tryna take a look into that calisthenics world so u end up sitting in the corner ready to stay skinny and weak😂😂💔💔i rlly have no idea where to start!!! 🥺😭
Awesome form showed! Definitely it is important to have proper push up form and to create basis for all other push exercises in calisthenics. Great video Chris!
I started from 10 reps a set 2 months back and progressed to 25 a set now, still trying to improve. Doing a modified 1 punch man challenge full body workout 5 days a week, 2 days of cardio/ HIIT. After this restricted movement period I'll be back to my usual routine. 3-4 days gym and 3 days cardio (badminton & swimming)
You should make a video where you pick a random guy that is a beginner and still chubby then help go from chubby to lean I think it will help from beginners that are just starting to prove that they can do it but good videos I enjoy watching them and learning more thanks bro
Seen a lot of different body builder programs and all kinds of trainers, tried a lot of different routine and never felt right with any, I discovered you about a week ago and learned more and understood more from you than anybody else, really appreciate what you put out man I look forward to being proficient in calisthenics 👍🏼
Jesus is Lord. God bless. He loves and Forgives. God someone who waits for your downfall, but your redemption through His Son Jesus. Repent. This may seem uncalled for but just trust the Lord. Give God a chance, not being religious but have a relationship with God. Call out to Him and try and hear His voice in your heart, He doesn’t go against His Word, the Bible. If you reject it, ay your choice, God gives free will. Just got to say, He has plans to prosper you not to harm you. Again ain't saying be religious, but give God a chance. God bless you.
I'm glad I found you pushing me to the limits I remember when I first started working out in 2016 when I was so fat (btw was 16) used to listen to Mike Cheng he was the one who inspired but you my thenx athlete your the one who's showed me how much idk about training keep it up stay true to yourself. 👊💖💙 fellow Elis infinite will
I would love to see any routines for improving flexibility in legs or in general! It's impossible for me to do some exercises like pike holds/push ups, because of my inflexibility!
I have horrible form rn and I can’t even do a pushup. I have the habit of pushing my pelvis towards the ground instead. Do you think it should be best if I workout those muscles first then start doing real pushups?
Ok so I found out about you guys only 3 months ago. Wow what a rush this is for me. Really looking forward to learn and excersise more. Thank you for your effort to make all this happen. 🤗
Hi Chris very helpful video i just subscribed to your channel i'm not very good at gymnastics but you are inspiring me everyday to do more and more thank you keep up the good work.
Hi Chris and ThenX, Thx for all what you had done for us, i have just one request : is it possible to have the subtitle in English ? I'm french and not flluent, as many followers of different country, i think it will be more easy for the people like me. Thx for all you done ;)
I used to be able to do 40 without non stop than take a break and do 290 more. Now I can do 5-10 because all this time i have been doing them wrong, getting up and down is not a problem i am strong, the problem is the position of the elbows and arms.
At first I saw how to take push ups Then how to do push ups for beginners Then how to do 100 push ups ..................................................................
