I'm only a few minutes in, and I'm recently getting deeper into electric work, but this is already clicking for me way more than other videos have. Thanks! You just earned a sub
Why would you need a switch to turn it off? Just leave it on and connected with both on. When night kicks in the solar auto turns off and it pulls from the battery bank, then when the sun rises again the solar auto turns back on and takes over the power and charges the battery as well. Confused on that part.
Tried using a generator for the first time, but even turned on with 3 engines it couldnt power a single blade trap, and was only providing 1 wat of power, any idea on how to trouble shoot this ?
You don't have to put a switch between solar bank and battery bank to switch between night and day. The loads are automatically switched to the battery bank after 2200 and solar cells at 0400.
i dont think you need a switch between solar banks & battery banks.. i set up solar banks on all my powered drawbridges with battery banks in-between and my batteries never ran out.. they always stayed full... from what i gather from experience of using them is... in the day time solar banks are powering stuff & also recharging the batteries... at night time ur batteries are powering stuff... so as long as ur not using more power at night than can be recharged in the batteries at night u will always stay with fully charged batteries.. i never used a switch and they always stayed full.. but then i didnt have huge power draining things like blade traps
Thanks dude every other video I saw didn't get straight to the point they talked about other stuff and half the time they already have it done and wired and talk about how nice it is with lights but with your video you showed how it was done and talked while doing so thanks again dude got my spot lights wired up
Another way you can utilize the solar/battery bank is just to run the excess power on night time only related items. IE night time only lighting, additional defenses, etc... Awesome guide!
A tip for your power source complaint, you can connect a generator to a power bank and then the power bank to the other components so when your bank run low you turn on the generator and he Power the conponents and recharge the bank...
oh my timed relay with solar bank and battery bank. to give it free energy for the lights in your base and then you can use a more powerful battery bank for bloodmoons with all tier 6 batteries. and then you have 7 days to charge it back up when the night is done. it might be alot of work and items, maybe the generator is better for the bloodmoon as it's only used engines and gas.
U have to find one or buy one from trader. Now if ur on an old version of 7 days before electricity was added then u won't have none of these. For instance the older console version
Why would you not assume that the cable in 7d2d is the same thing were all cable are in that one cable you connect. So if you think of it that way 7d2d cabling is the same as real world wiring.
