45 degree method is so much easier. Will be using this method on the 26th if i will be asked to do it on the driving test 😊

can definitely vouch as someone who is no longer a learner - stick to the 45 degree method. the 90 degree method is such a crutch and depends far too much on reference points rather than 'doing it by feel' Just edited this comment after realising I got 45 and 90 the wrong way round. the 45 method is the way to go I'm so sorry 😭

@@ElderlyAnteaterWhile I agree the 45 degree is so much better in real life situations in a busy car park. But the 90 degree is good for small car parks when you have the first space as you enter the car park as you can't always get that 45 degree perfect. Parking is all about situations what's best at that moment.👌 And how someone else has parked as we all know other people don't always park in the middle of the space more often they are parked more to one side.

Please remember where your seat and height postion will change your ref point so will your headpostion . As well remember depends on which vehicle as well size or said car and movement of vehicle ref will change 25 years as adi

This is the best way to do the manoeuvre. Trust me. There are other methods but! Unless its just you in the car park then your holding up other drivers. This teaches confidence and control.

In reality though other drivers rarely give you enough room to pull this manouver off. I think the 45° method works better (good mirror use necessary).

@_Jem_ 5 месяцев назад
@@svmwasthesheet1971I just replied to another comment you are absolutely correct 45 degree is much better in a busy car park 95% of the time but the 90 degree comes into play if you enter a small car park and the only space is the first space as you enter the car park.

Good video , For reference point when there are variables like seat position , head position, seat height , can you pls guide via a video wherein one can determine these reference points for any one given set of conditions instead of relying on experience of driver with a car , we need some logical aspects in determining reference points

Don't understand this method anymore. I've stopped teaching it because it's fairly useless in a real world environment. 45 degree method helps teach people to adapt their steering too.

Great video but I still don't understand why this is the main method being teached by instructors. Since passing I haven't used the 90 degree method and already go to the 45 degree method. 45 degree method just makes more sense to me.

What a load of tosh. Professional drivers and advanced drivers will tell you to use your mirrors Not look over your shoulder . It's all about turning point in relation to wheel position. I am fed up of poor instruction, teach the advanced driving standards from day one, not after poor instructions, and having to change a mind set in a new driver. I am on the road every day and the driving standards are abysmal.
@worlddriving
@worlddriving Год назад
Try using just your mirrors on your driving test and you'll fail for poor observations.
@alanharper7637
@alanharper7637 Год назад
@worlddriving the driving test it's standard's and objectives are proven not to be safe methods, producing safe drivers, look at the statistics from the insurance companies, new drivers are a high percentage of partisapants in accidents, watch the police intercepted programs, fo you ever see middle or aged people being torn from the wheel No it's all youngsters. I have been cut up by professional driving instructors. I recently had a person under instruction coming towards me on the wrong side of the road crossing a double white line. Driving standards have taken a nose dive ,no progress, look at Swedens approach to staged training, prior to full licence. Statistics do not lie, where do new drivers training emanate from.

Young drivers in the UK, like in many other places, are often involved in a large number of accidents for several reasons: 1. Lack of Experience: Young drivers typically have less experience on the road, which can make it harder for them to anticipate and respond to potential dangers. 2. Risky Behavior: Some young drivers may engage in risky behaviors such as speeding, distracted driving (e.g., texting while driving), and not wearing seatbelts, increasing their likelihood of accidents. 3. Peer Pressure: Social factors can play a role, as young drivers may be more susceptible to peer pressure, leading them to take unnecessary risks while driving. 4. Limited Awareness: Young drivers may have limited awareness of the potential consequences of their actions on the road and may not fully understand the risks involved. And as you mentioned 5. Lack of Training: Driver education and training programs may not always adequately prepare young drivers for real-world driving situations.
