How do I get the front bumper off? I took out all the plastic clips on both ends and the T20 trox with bracket. I took out the top 2 and cannot wiggle it out. Is there any behind the fog light mesh? Do I need to take that alignment headlight bolt off you showed in this video? Please help. Thanks
Yes I took out the headlight alignment bolt out in order to remove old headlight. It was rather hard. What was holding me back was headlight bracket on the ( inside outer end) in which bumper slides on between.
@@MIC-LS do I need to remove the headlight alignment bolt on the side if im only removing the bumper? No bolts near the fog light area like the 2001-2004?
@daddyk5023 If you are not taking the headlights out, then you do not need to remove the alignment bolt. Once you remove all of the bolts surrounding the bumper. You should just pull it off.

Treating us great 79k miles. It is driven less than 5k a year.this one does not a a sunroof but the headliner is falling. I will do a video soon gluing new material and install.
Well, for starters, wheels and tires, if you have a good paint on vehicle a nice shine. Stereo system with bluetooth that way you can use your phone and your choice of music, led headlights this will make a difference when you drive at night. I can keep going, but in the end it will always be as far your money can take you. My wife owns this mercedes she wants led lights under the vehicle, and I'm getting her new wheels and tire combo. When this happens for sure I will share this with you all.
Lights are doing great, grille is awesome, the pull latch to open hood in the front might be your only issue since it tends to hide when closing hood. Often you find yourself fishing for it when ever you need to open the hood at the front. What may not bother me, it may upset regular people.
The C230 was purchased over 5 years ago with 50k on it 1 owner a Doctor. Right now it's over 75k only an alternator, brakes, tires and 1 coolant temp sensor. If your mercedes is over 100k they will start asking for money. It all depends especially who beat the living daylights out of the engine. If a grandma owned it I say go for it. Good luck.
My c230 kompressor has 220,000 miles on it. All I replaced was the tie rod ends. The rest is highway 🛣 and ⛽ gasoline. Update 9/25/21 I'm in the East coast, I just put 3,000 extra miles. Engine is smooth!!!!!
Great video. You just saved me a headache and probably hundreds of dollars. Do you have the link to it by chance. I have a 2007 C230 Sport and want to do the same but want to find a reliable seller.
Wow, thanks for the video, I got the grill on Ebay for about $150 there are many different styles, colors and if you are choosing ebay it should be no problem, because I have gotten my money back on a couple of items and no issue for me. But plug your vehicle model, year and plug in word ("grille") and you should be fine.
These clips, I can Find the in the Help section at any auto parts store. They normally are in a little assorted pack different sizes. I also just looked the up in Amazon and they Have them. If you go to the Dealer expect to dish out your pinky finger. Another solution (if you dare) salvage yard from another Mercedes. Your choice.
How was the projection on the new headlights. Im thinkin of buying one from a mechanic i know who did the balance shaft, timing chain, valve cover gasket with 147k miles. And it def need new headlights
@@MIC-LS I've heard it's almost a given when replacing those with projectors at least on low beam in order to not get everything washed out when upgrading bulb to LED? Does that sound correct?
Did the projector headlights gave you an error on the dash? I noticed that your old ones weren't the same. And do those new ones light the road better than the other set?
Thank you for the comment, no error on the dash, all I had to do was adjust the beams so that I won't blind bats flying at night, and yes they are brighter especially if you purchase LED driving lights.
Thank u I drained the coolant completely hit and not blue at all got it all changed and now it's staying check coolant level do you have any idea why it's saying thay
@@brandonwiesman611 You still have air in the system. You need to remove the air so the sensor will not read "low coolant/check coolant " air bubble at the sensor" The thermostat needs to go thru a couple of cycles of opening and closing to get rid of this bubble(s).Also make sure you turn your heater on, for coolant to cycle thru everything to remove the air bubble and need to top off with coolant. Keep an eye for coolant level after 15-20 min of running time top off as needed. Always being mindful to fill coolant when engine is cold or cool 😎.
@@MIC-LS haha its all good ended up Using paint remover to remove black paint of the grille the previous owner had blacked out the entire car but currently painting the wheels satin silver and clean up the headlights and also the grille is chrome again the car is coming along nicely also ended up finding an AUX wire that fits with oem so won't be replacing the stereo will just be replacing the speakers with some 6.5s on the doors. Got the wire adaptor so the speakers can just be plugged in and no wiring will be needed just waiting on the AUX adapter and Speaker brackets and the Car should be done
@@TheRealJuseBeats I definitely know what you mean. You glue a piece of plastic very neatly so it does not show on the bottom of the grill where the pull lever will sit on. It should act as as a place for the lever on the grill to rest on. The first time it took me a good minute to get it open until I came up with this idea. It does not need to be plastic it could also be a piece of rod, as long as the pull lever at the grill rests on something and nobody can see it. Good luck!
Nope, my coolant was replaced already and I did not want to drain it. So I rolled the dice and was a quick sensor exchange, not much coolant loss as you see in the video.
