Another awesome video. So much gets lost in translation between instructors and riders, so many people get discouraged to continue or make the horses suffer by hampering their backs or pulling on their mouths. Thank you for showing us how to be better riders!
Can you explain what the rider has to do when opening the hip joint, is it moving the pelvis backwards and when closing the hip joint it’s moving the pelvis forward? I don’t understand opening and closing the hip joint is it equivalent to open and close your legs?!
I think I'll need to make a video about this, as I feel it's quite a complicated subject and also depending on who you ask the answer might be different :D As a physiotherapist I would say that opening the hip means extension, outward rotation or abduction of the hip joint, or combination of these. I have a video about hip anatomy that might maybe also help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-x0K5yGxJ_ok.html But yes, I'll try and manage to make a video where I'll explain it also in relation to riding.
Hello from Barcelona, I love your videos and your english , sometimes i don't understand a native person because my english is very basic. Please is possible a vídeo about the position of the body
