This is beyond truthful! Not only visually helpful but also listen to what he saying, “ be more exciting then the outside world” “ if you get frustrated, stop and start again later or another day” “ build a working bond” don’t just watch him but listen to those amazing tips! Awesome video man! Absolutely love it! Lol been dien to know this trick!
Great video! Loved the tutorial sort of format of this!!! Keep them coming! My husband and I hope some day you’ll make a tour trip to NJ... we’ll definitely be there if you do!
I actually have a question my puppy Titus loves to do his commands and is decently trained but for some reason I can't get him to go in between my legs how would I get him comfortable enough to do that. If you got any advice I would appreciate it.
Have a 7 month old pup, he caught onto this one very quickly. I love taking him for a walk and everytime we cross the street he walks under me, so funny.
@@nightrockerdj not entirely sure? Hes a smart little guy. I think hes like a GS/Boxer/american bulldog mix. I have him somrwhat off leash on walks now and he does well- still not 100% trustworthy which is why I only walk him off leash at odd hours of the night and will have a long leash just dangling as a backup. If he gets bored, he will find something to do. Been times I come home and hes opened the oven door by pulling on the towel with his mouth.
Unfortunately Adam has passed away. I can give you some tips though. As he mentions in this video being more exciting then the outside world. I suggest establishing a "classroom" for your dog. Minimal distractions so the focus is on you. Build off the drive your dog has wether thats food or a ball or a tug. Consistency and repetition is key. Malinois have high drive and want to work make what your trying to achieve fun. I usually achieve this by crating my dog for any time we are not exercising or working that way he knows hey I'm out of my crate this is great I want to please my owner as that results in my staying out and working.
It’s soo sad , I too found out he passed about a month ago. However, he did leave us with tools to continue training with our dogs. I did buy his book on Amazon which is still available. I highly suggest you get it. I too just for a 3 month GSD / Malinois female. She is very obedient but does love jumping on people . That’s because Shepherds are also considered herding dogs , so she is trying to gather the pack. Lots of AH. AH... like Adam would say. 😊 it does work.
Awesome vid and really useful skill. Following the instructions I got my Mal getting the basics in 2-3 training sessions. Now we can cross the block in bridge during the leaderwalks. Working to reduce the lure and get better at duration but the instructions here are spot on. Love the vids. Thank you!
I know this is kind of a late comment, but (this is a fantastic video) my lab is uncomfortable with going in between my legs. He'll do it all the time when I'm not trying to teach a command, but when I am, he's too scared. Any tips on how to build up his confidence with that?
I am so sorry to learn that Adam recently passed away. I found his obituary on the website," Chicagoland Cremation Options". I left a condolence. I am sure that his family will appreciate it.
Hi Adam Tyler I watch your Videos since last Year. I live in Germany and I owend a belgian Sheparddog like Your Rocky. Ich liebe Ihre Videos sie sind sehr hilfreich und interessant.
Love your vids! I’m getting my first mal in few weeks, I’ve always had retrievers and now a Jack Russell. We’re an active family with kids 12 and 18.....plan to take the pup everywhere when he’s little to get him used to most situations...any vids or articles you can recommend I’d greatly appreciate it!!!
What if my hound Rottweiler 7 months old pup is not interested in toys or treats outside . There is absolutely nothing that I can get her focus with. Even inside with cheese and meat .. if she hears or smells something , you can forget it . The only way I can get her to walk on a lose leash and sit next to me outside is with a prong collar. Not every dog is so toy and food motivated . What can I do then?
The video and everything is good, but the sound quality is so bad that its hard to watch. Try getting a shirt pin mic, or a shotgun mic with a wind cancelling adaption.
Yo Master paw. First off Rocky is amazing. Do these training techniques work on all dogs or more geared for intelligent working dogs like a Mal. Could I get the same results from say a Rat Terrier?
I find that any dog can learn anything at any age. The biggest difference is some dogs learn at different speeds than others. Some dogs have longer attention spans. Not everyone has hours/day to work on stuff. But a few min every day is better than nothing at all.
Rats are very smart you can train any dog even stubborn ones like Bullies have to find the key that unlocks them harder to train humans because some are just plain stupid
