How to Do the Galarian Bird CATCH TRICK! 

Him celebrating alone is me every time something exciting happens in my game . 😢

I tried this yesterday and was purposely missing the throw... only for the Galarian Zapdos to hop towards me and get hit by an Ultra Ball. And of course it ran.

Tried this at about my 6th legendary bird encounter. I am now the proud owner of a Galarian Articuno.

encountered a moltres a day before i saw the kruse ships video, it fled. not even joking, the day AFTER i watched the video, another spawned, i dropped all my normal pokeballs (i had like 16), swapped to ultra and caught it! 2536cp, im convinced it works

I feel like every encounter should make it easier over time

I've tried this the last 2 days I've encounted a galarian bird Articuno & Moltres. Both ran so yeah not guaranteed but each did shake twice before running when normally they would break out immediately

Hey guys, I am so happy right now. This trick really works. I have come across over 2 dozen birds over the past couple of months. Always ran on me. Just this morning I came across this video and before getting ready for work, I prayed then stepped out for 15 mins (windy weather on the app, increase chance of encounter with a bird). I tried the trick, used a golden Razz, missed about 40-50 great balls, and then hit the ultra ball. I can proudly say PRAYING and this TRICK really worked!!! Attaching a photo for evidence! Thanks so much for creating this video. My favorite legendary is the Galarian Moltres, when I first encountered it over a year ago, I recall calling my younger brother and telling him how sad I was. I am so happy now! Please give this a try guys. It really works, remember, praying increases your chances as well. Prayed for a galarian (specifically a Moltres) and it worked! God is great!

So I feel like this should be reiterated so everyone is fully aware. The catch trick is NOT GUARANTEED, it is still pretty based on RNG. Remember, it's said that multiple misses on the pokemon only makes your catch rate a bit higher, it doesn't make your catches guaranteed catches. So if it doesn't work for you the first time, or a few times, it doesn't necessarily mean the trick doesn't work, RNG just wasn't in your favor for those attempts.

I tried it like 2 weeks ago, threw 20 balls and didn’t catch galarian zapdos

it works now I need a bird spawn before they patch it😂

I've tried this "trick" 4 times in the past 2 weeks and have only caught 1 out of the 4 birds I've encountered, which is better than none, but makes me think it ultimately comes down to RNG and luck.

I'm an instructor for little pokeclub for children and 1 of our players have tried this 2 times and he has Moltres and Articuno. I'm so happy and proud this technique is somehow working. I'm waiting my bird to come to test it as well. Really can't wait. Our kid threw about 30 red balls and with golden berry and ultra ball bang captured.

Something similar to this works on raid bosses. The less balls you have, the more likely you are to catch it. But as opposed to the birds, raid bosses can’t run away unless you run out of balls completely, so you should always try to hit raid bosses

I got my only Moltres this way. It was unintentionally used trick. I really am that bad of a thrower.

I got Zapdos- but not sure if this is what happened. I threw a great, it jumped, but didn't run. I then threw a terrible throw and caught it. I don't remember if I missed throws before the 2 catches though.

I just got my galarin zapdos best friend status. Caught him on my first encounter. Little did I know how hard he actually was to catch. I've had about 7 - 8 total encounters with the birds since then and lucky to get a single tick. Definitely trying that method next 🔥

Saw that video yesterday. Today i popped my incense, found a Zapdos, tried the trick and I captured it! 😁

Does the catch trick require ultra balls to work? Or can they regular poke balls? ( the ones you waste)

I tried it yesterday and I now have Galarian Moltres!!! I did 11 bad throws with normal poke balls then I caught it with a golden berry and excellent throw!

I’ve caught 2 out of the 3 Galarian Birds. 1st one I caught was Articuno but I used the Master Ball on it to catch it, the 2nd one I caught was Moltres which happened just yesterday I ended up getting insanely lucky with the capture, gave it a Silver Pinap Berry used an Ultra Ball with a curveball (didn’t even get a nice throw or anything like that) but I ended up getting a critical capture on it which I definitely wasn’t expecting and I was very excited lol

would explain that i do a lot of raid catches with the last ball. but one problem, i dont even have 10 pokéballs in my inventory, so throw away around 15 from the 30 you get really hurts 😅

I only had seen Zapdos for the 3rd time and ran into this video right after that encounter and then tonight I ran into articuno and tried this and now I have my first legendary galarian bird.

I got a Galarain Moltres out of nowhere and I was shaken and I threw an ultra ball and I got a critical catch and caught it

I found my first Moltres yesterday and I freaked out, didn’t catch it but I’m excited to look for it again

Literally 1 hour after watching this video, I went on a walk and encountered moltres too. Threw 20+ Ultra balls. First throw was a Great and after two shakes it was still there. Second throw was a Nice and after two shakes, it fled. I think it increases the chances but it doesn't guarantee the catch.

Lucky enough to get G Zapdos 2nd day of the incense. Its a hoot in GBL GL. No luck since had a few galarian birds run. Looking for a low cp one to spawn & will definitely try this out.

I need a new test. Do you have yo waist ultra balls to make this work. Can you waist a ton of normal balls first then switch to ultra for the catch?

I tried this out on an Articuno. i wasted my great balls instead of my ultra balls (cause I was low on ultra balls) after around 11 throws i tried the golden razz berry and watsed another 6-7 balls (this time ultra balls). Then i finally threw my ultra ball, dint get an excellent, but i caught it! The cp was in the 400s so maybe that helped too.

i watched this the other day then went out to do my daily incense.. happened to come across a moltres AND a zapdos so i tried this trick on each, wasted 20 ish ultra balls first then hit an excellent throw on the moltres and just missed the circle on the zapdos and they both ran away.. so gutted!

Never tried the trick but I did manage to snag a zapdos the third time I saw it with a critical catch

I just caught my first Galarian bird yesterday. An articuno. Golden razz. Ultra. Terrible throw. Thought I lost it for sure. 1 shake….yeah just break out already. 2 shakes…just teasing me like always…third shake. OMFG!!!! I’ve only been playing for a month so when it got registered to my Pokédex, it’s hilarious seeing nothing around it but snorlax. I don’t even have a normal articuno

I saw a Galatians Moltres and tried the trick. I let 30 ultra balls go and had a nice throw. It ran. I’ll get these stinkin birds lol Thanks for the killer content Pisan! Salute

I’m always sceptical of these kinds of things, but I’m still tempted to try it, I just gotta find one of the birds first 😅

Three days ago I master balled a perfect galarian moltres and there was no one around to celebrate with me. I was shaking so bad that I thought I would pass out!🤣

hubby tried that yesterday with Articuno, didn't work tho :/

I have two different galarian birds of my own, I have yet to see a galarian bird and not catch it BECAUSE- they both spawned at the end of a daily incense and I INTENTIONALLY waited until I knew that the timer for the daily incense was over. I then threw a golden razz ultra ball and caught BOTH without any kind of throw! (nice, great, excellent). Hope this helps :)

Caught the Articuno and the Zapdos without the trick, now i know this i really need to find the Moltres!! 😁

I’ve seen galar zapdos and moltres but they both ran but I have caught a 550 cp (when I caught it) articuno with 700/800 cp now

I missed 7 birds all gold berrys and excellent throws fled first throw. Number 8 I hit excellent throws but it didn't flee gave 2nd try and caught. This was before I seen this and haven't seen a bird since. I got the Moltres

i found TWO birds and both ran first ball let’s hope this works if i find another

I wonder if you can toss ANY ball and then switch to Ultra or if it has to be the same ball the whole time. Thinking maybe we can toss Pokeballs before switching to Ultra

Tried on a 2079 Articuno and 3027 weather boosted Zapdos. Used about 20 pokeballs each time switched to ultra ball and still didn’t catch either. Both were 2 days apart.

Thinking about using the Masterball to catch it!!

I actually accidentally did this strat with Moltres! I’m just that bad at the game I guess😂

I encouter them 5times in 12days(and the 5th time was today) but missed them every times.

I tried it on moltres to no prevail. I don't think I waited the 3 seconds in-between each throw, so I will try once more

I've encountered one legendary bird in like 35 straight days of using daily incense... it fled after one ball. I can't wait to try it if I EVER find another!

Tried it with a couple of Red Circle Raid Pokemons by trashing down to 4 balls left. Raz +3 excellents catch one miss but caught too. I am 4 out of 5. The fifth got out of the Excellent but got caught on a great the next throw. On Wild Pokemons i trash about 17 normal balls and so far it seems to work aswell.

i managed to get galarian zapdos recently, i did not use the technic but one thing i did was to calm down. you should calm down before throwing the ball at the bird. do not throw the ball if your heart is pounding a lot, do deep breaths before throwing the ball. You can do the technic but just remember to stay chill, the bird will not run away unless it comes out of the ball.

Logged in and activated my incense immediately after watching this and saw all 3 birds on the the same incense (never saw any before). I only caught the Zapdos though. I might have overlooked the part of the vid that said wait 3 seconds after each bad throw

Doesn’t work did it now I trowed maybe 25 ultra balls before trying to catch it and it was gone after the first ball 😑

i forgot about it with my first bird ever this mourning and it shook twice aswell (it was a zapdos and yes it ran if that wasn't clear)

Worked for me. Galarian Zapdos. Threw and failed with 15 regular balls, then a golden razz and an ultra ball. I also missed the excellent, but I did catch it, though not a critical catch.

It actually makes total sense.

Can you throw down normal poke balls and then switch to the ultra ball or does it have to be the ultra ball

I have both the Artocuno and ZPdos of these and got them by using golden pineapple amd ultra ball. On first shot. Have yet to see a Moltrase yet

I saw his video and posted the trick on local discord and FB group. I haven't encountered a bird since seeing the video, but 2 people have. They both tried the trick and both of thier birds fled

I wish i would've saw this earlier. On my daily walk ive encountered a galarian articuno yesterday and zapdos today. Im hoping to have the same luck tomorrow. But it's been in the exact same spot, which is wild.

Coming back to thank you, I used this to catch a 3* Master League G-Zapdos in a Pokeball using this method

I tried doing it two weeks ago when I encountered my first bird (moltres), but i apparently didn’t throw away enough pokeballs before actually attempting to catch the bird. If I get lucky enough to encounter a second bird, I’ll try it correctly!

are the galarian birds still appearing with the inscense? i havnt seen one for months

Does it matter what ball you waste? Or does it reset when you change balls?

Can I do this with regular pokéballs or doI have to do it with ultra balls?

I'm a bad thrower myself in iPad and I noticed that when I missed like 6 or so when I do hit it is an instant catch

I’ve had back to back days of galarian zapdos spawning, did this trick, got great throws and has fled immediately both times. My wife also had a zapdos, it fled as well, she did get a great throw, a second attempt as well as it didn’t flee, shook tiwice and fled.

I have done this now 3 times with two of them registered as catches!

I caught a g moltres! Working on best buddying that thing!

Worked for me too on moltres, 2nd bird I ever found and I got a critical catch as well. Threw around 15 ultra balls and someone also said that if you screenshot right as the ball is about hit it decreases the chance of them fleeing after 1 throw!

I one time found a Galarian Moltres which was my favorite out of all three Galarian birds. I obviously used golden razz berry and ultra ball but missed the excellent and it broke out but it gave me a second chance! I did the same thing and no excellent and it caught!

I also noticed if you take a screenshot and you don’t hit the excellent but used a berry and don’t catch. You get another chance.

It didn't work for me. But I also used a berry early. So I don't know if that affected it or not. I used 5 regular balls, around 8 to 11 our 12 greats and then 2 or 3 ultras on a golden berry. Didn't hit the excellent and definitely waited more than 3 seconds between balls. And still only did like two shakes before running.

Wish I knew this five minutes ago after a Galarian Moltres popped up in my backyard walking the dog...and of course it ran 🥲

One of my tricks is throwing the poke ball letting it get in then closing the tab and opening Pokémon go again and it mostly always catches

I caught a level 1 Galarian zapdos with normal pokeball... I think the level helped me in catching it

Does it have to be the same ball ur missing with?
