yes good points, we never use reflectorless mode for any kind of control work because as you say it is not selective - the only way to get high accuracy is to measure to fixed points with a tripod and prism set up, letting the ATR do its thing, even a prism on a braced pole is subject to movement which affects the overall results. Remember control is very important because if the control points are inaccurate, all subsequent measured points will inherit that inaccuracy before any more measurement takes place. One addition too - ensure the total station is regularly calibrated by experienced engineers they are not foolproof in terms of accuracy, especially if subject to bangs and knocks from time to time

I think total station can't get auto measurements.

Oh there is not auto height measuring feature on the Leica TS16 I1 "R500" total station right

in my comany they have purchase new Leica TS16 I1 "R500" total station but i didnt know key feature for auto heigh measurement fro instruments.

i thought of take auto heigh measurment for instrument heigh
