The problem with torching it or using a lighter to remove the bubbles when doming is that the mold get stuck or bonds to the cast. Idk, but it always happens to me.

Hi Lauren! Thanks! ❤️ Doming isn't actually required. I usually do this when some pieces have a rough top coz of the flowers bulging while curing. And yes, you would be able to resin letters without doming. I do it when I receive bulk orders 😊

Do you use heat resistant resin? Sometimes I’m scared to make some keychains for friends/selling and not knowing if the regular epoxy resin will melt…?

Heat-resistant resin is more expensive than th regular one but is really good to use. Regular resin will only melt at certain temp. Just don't leave it inside the car under scorching heat, or anywhere under direct sunlight or direct heat.

Don't worry po. Magiging shiny pa rin po 😊 yes po, lagi nyo lng po tatandaan na baliktad ung mold nyo kya dpat po baliktad din ung pag-desin 😊 mgnda rin nmn po gmitin yang inverted mold. Good luck po.

If you're using UV RESIN, use UV LAMP. If you're using Epoxy Resin, you don't need uv lamp. It'll cure on its own.

What can i do to prevent bubbles appearing after the resin is hard? I added dry flowers and there were no bubbles but i noticed after it hardened bubbles appeard, I used a heat gun, tourch and made sure there were no bubbles before putting under a UV light but still bubbles appeard after it hardened. Don't know what to do really!!

You have to check on it time to time and pop the bubbles while curing. Or, you can coat the flowers with resin first before pouring it with resin.

Hi! Once lang ako nakagamit ng UV Resin at napansin ko rin ng na ganung ang nangyayare. May nabasa ako dati na usually kapag cheap ang UV Resin ang gamit, nagiging gnun. Pero try mo rin na saglit lng ilagay sa UV lamp, then kapag mejo matigas na sya tanggalin mo muna saglit, mga 30 seconds, then balik mo ulit sa lamp.

If you wanna sand the edges without ruining them, you can use nail sanding buffer 😊 then you can just brush thin resin on the parts where you sanded.

Hi. Nope, not compulsory. I only do it when the top is rough or uneven. No, you can't do it while it's still on the mold, it'll run on the sides of the letters. I use lighter to pop the bubbles on the surface. Curing time depends on the brand and type of resin you're gonna use. There is slow-curing resin, usually takes 3-5 days to cure, commonly use for deep pouring and fast-curing resin, takes only 6-12 hours to completely cure which is ideal for Keychains, pendants and other small projects.

Digital scale. The brand of resin i used in this video is 2:1, therefore, 2 parts Epoxy and 1 part hardener, that would be 10g of epoxy and 5g of hardener. You can add more if you need a lot. Like, 20g epoxy, 10g hardener.

Charge to experience na lang po and then sa next project nyo po, dagdagan nyo ng konting hardener para sure na mag-cure po. Hindi po ba expired ang nabili nyong resin?

If that happens, it means you don't put enough resin. Always remember, put enough but not too much when doming. One tip, let your resin be tacky before you dome. It will help you to decide if you need to put more or not.

As i dont have the pigment or flowers or gold flakes, i only use glitter to do the keychains. I also saw in other videos that if you put one layer of resine and then wait a couple of hours, and in the second layer put the glitter mixed with the resine. @@FabianaSantos-hg7dn hi again! Yes, that's called Doming, when you put thin layer of resin on your finish product. The easiest way to avoid the glitters goin on just one side of mold is to put a lot of glitters. If you put lot of glitters and pour it all in your mold, it will not stay on one side only but the whole mold. I hope i made it clear. If not, please do watch my tutorial of WILLOW BY TAYLOR SWIFT ON MP3 PLAYER. I used glitters there.

Depende da marca da resina. Se você usar resina de secagem rápida, poderá desmoldá-la após 6 horas. Se você usar resina de secagem lenta, só poderá desmoldar após 3-5 dias.

Sa isang Keychain po ay 10g. Depende rin po sa letters, kasi magkakaiba ung sukat ng letters. Halimbawa, mas marami needed sa M kaysa sa L. Depende po sa design nyo ang presyo. Pero ang range po ay 65-130. Mas mahal ung customized like nagpapalagay ng names, ng umbilical cord, ng hair.

Hi po. Ang twag po sa inorder nyo ay inverted letter mold. Okay lng rin nmn po gamitin. Medyo nakakalito lang po kasi ang design po na gusto nyo na maging unahan ay ung nasa ilalim. Kaya dapat pag magde-design kayo, palagi nyo po isipin na yung nasa ilalim ang magiging design sa ibabaw kapag tinanggal nyo na po.

Size of 1 and half inches. Fast casting po gamit ko kapag maliliit na projects. Yes po. Depende po un sa resin na gagamitin nyo. May mga resin po kais na kahit 6 hours na ay malambot pa rin. I suggest po na fast-curing ang bilhin nyo kung mainipin kayo like me 😅

What does doming actually mean? Is it different than a top coat?

Doming is usually pouring thick resin because it has higher viscosity so it won't run on the edges and overflow. Can obly be done to resin projects that can sit flat on a surface. On the other hand, Top coat is thin coating on the resin project. Can be applied to any shape of resin project that you will make like earrings, pendants with irregular shapes. That's how I understand it. Thanks 😊

I use KS Casting resin for my molds so what type of thicker resin would I put on top?

@@michellesallerson8201 you can use that. Just let it sit for at least 15 minutes to thicken. Once, thicken, you can dome your projects. Don't put a lot, just enough.
