HOW TO: DOOR SPEAKERS IN 2002-2005 RAM 1500 

You have to snap on the factory spacers and it fits just fine !

Just got an 04 ram quad (non infinity), ordered a pair of kenwood(6966s) 6x9 since Amazon and ebay said it would fit. That was false info, the factory speak basket is narrow that can't see how any normal 6x9 would fit without trimming metal. And theses kenwoods have a slim basket and magnet.I even used the factory spacer too like other videos have shown still didnt fit. Luckily i had gotten some 6.5 kenwood(1666s) for the rear that i had to use for the fronts like this guy did, they will fit the scosche universal adapter without any trimming to the adapter. I say this because i got some cheap crunch 6.5 shallow mount speakers too but they wouldnt fit the universal adapter without trimming. Personally some of these other videos out on RU-vid where these guys are magically fitting these 6x9s into the 3rd gen trucks aren't showing the real hassle it took to put them in.

Sweet truck like the exhaust tips. Love the bull horns out the back on these trucks. Mine has dual out the back Gibson Performance exhausts. Very nice tone. Nice loudness too

I have a spacer behind my 6x9's in the front. There a little old but still going, they are infinty reference 9613i.... Nice video. Already waiting on the next one 😁

In my 2008 Dodge i got the 6x9 4 ways in my front doors but i only have a single cab. It may be a little different

Nice Video! Theses videos are hard to find for these older Dodges. You might want to check the wiring doing from the Cab to the door if your speaker as well as your window motor are not working. They are known for the wires breaking in the middle between the door and the cab... This happens to all of then sooner or later! Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work...

Those 6x9's will fit in the front. You need to slice the edge where you need the clearance and roll, tap back, the sheet metal. That's what I did.

I'm a little late to this video. But for the 6x9 I know you can trim the rims of the door about a quarter inch and they slide in perfectly. Just need to remember to clean up the edges after you cut

The front door speakers are actually 6x8"s not 6x9"s

Hey man I’m a little late on this but I have an 04 and the front speakers are 6.5mids with tweeters and on the back did you trim to make 6.5s fit? I’m trying to fit apocalypse speakers and the Magnet is the size of the hole 😅 I’m thinking of opening the whole more and add a spacer

U ever fit the 6.5s? I'm doing mine and can't find 5.25 3 hole speakers.

Crutchfield tells me these speakers only produce bass sound, is it really worth buying them at that point? Or is that even true
