When I try the installation, a window comes up at the end of the install asking me to enter a Port@server. I'm unsure what to enter here, and unsure why this is popping up at all since I do not plan on running solidworks through a server. Is there a way prevent this window from appearing?
Installation manager doesn’t pop up when trying to install the student version. I’ve unzipped the solid works setup.exe and no installation manager pop up at all. Help please
2:32 at this screen which ones do I select? Do I select all? Please explain. If I just want to learn and don't want do collaboration and those fancy stuff?
Hi Ric, for this you will just need to enter whatever serial numbers you have. If you only have SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD then you only need to input the serial number for that and you can ignore all of the others.
Hi! Only SOLIDWORKS 2022 SP2 onwards are supported by Windows 11. We do not recommend installing older versions on Windows 11. Check here for a full list of system requirements: www.solidworks.com/support/system-requirements
Hi Helen, I've just checked the SOLIDWORKS system requirements and unfortunately in the notes (point 6) it states that Windows home editions are not supported, sorry. Please find the full system requirements here. www.solidworks.com/support/system-requirements
Problem with these new 3d softwares are that Compony if made this demand as there requirements that the employees must have the ability and experience on exp, solidworks, then what shall the poor designer do who is only knows about the learning on 3dsmax or Maya, that means the opportunity is far away from his hands... That is a bad example of today Componies that it's a pain learn 3d software's on diff categories all the time just then the job we had get.
