In this video, i will show you the complete process of downloading Landsat 9 multispectral satellite imagery for free.
For this, we use the USGS EarthExplorer web portal. After signing up, we can navigate into our desire geographical location using the map view provided in the portal, and we can refine the search of Landsat data products based on criteria such as date range, cloud cover etc.
After downloading the dataset, we do a quick comparison to understand what each spectral band notation refer to using the information provided by NASA. This include understanding what wavelengths each bands refer to as well as getting a quick grasp on their spatial resolution values.
