This female bodice block is based on Mandy Barrington’s version from her book entitled Stays and Corsets. The block features a prominent shoulder dart and is easily converted into fitted women's garments such as corsets and princess-line bodices. Written step-by-step instructions and private tutoring are available on my Patreon. patreon.com/digitaldressmaker
Calculate the Following Measurements:

b) Nape to Waist - (15”)
c) 1/5 Neck Measurement - (2.8”)
d) 1/2 Across Back - (6.25”)
e) 1/4 Waist - (6”)
f) Dart Size (See Standard Dart Sizes) - (2”)
g) 1/2 Point to Point - (3.25”)
Standard Dart Sizes:
Bust: 30-32” = Dart 2.5”
Bust: 34-36” = Dart 3”
Bust: 38-40 = Dart 3.5”
Bust: 44-46” = Dart 4”
Bust 48-50” = Dart 4.5”

Thank you! Clear instructions! 2:16 - Although it took me awhile to understand why you added 5(!) inches to 1/4 of the bust measurement haha. Then i realized it's point 5", but it REALLY sounds like 5 😄

Thanks!, Your tutorial videos are an excellent resource for anyone looking to learn a new skill or topic. The tutorial video is well-structured, easy to follow. I want detail tutorial on Fabric Properties, if possible

Hello, thanks for the video! Which type of simulation do you use in for garment creation? There is a "accurate fabric" simulation and "normal" basic one.

Hello! I use "normal" simulation when I am first drafting my pattern and only use "accurate fabric" when checking fit, rendering, or exporting as a model for use in another 3D program. Essentially, I switch back and forth between the two, because although "accurate fit" is more accurate, it requires more computational power and ultimately slows down my process. Hope that helps!
