CJ Stroud, Puka Nakua and Jahmyr Gibbs plus Trey McBride helped me get to playoffs to 2nd round last year. Sometimes waiver picks and sleepers really help.
@bstuart66 Lost Chubb, Ridley was hit or miss. Drafted Dallas G. Picked up Nacua, McBride, and Kyren Williams....Then popped some bottles in the 'chip!
Driving home from work. Listen to you guys every day on the way home and on way to work. Makes my drive enjoyable. I always get excited when a new video drops!
Another BANGER! This year I am focused on WR early since later in drafts(Rd 7,8,9) you can get a couple quality backs that have potential to finish top 15. You still gotta grab a solid RB 1 prior to this tho for it to pay off IMO
I’m happier than a swinger at a swap party. Jake has just revolutionized the fantasy industry with this breakdown. A take away I got was a balanced draft is statistically best but not guaranteed to win a league. The Headliners are killing the game and it’s not close. All I can say is KEEP BANGING💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 P. S. The only place that has more banging than the nation is that swinger party. 🙃😎
My takeaway tip last year was to keep all the valuable tips in mind here & obviously keep in mind which positions are the highest points to cater towards and draft accordingly...
In my home league I looked at 15 years worth of history. The lowest running back a winning team had was RB7. That only happened 1 time in 15 years and they also had RB10 paired up with them. Every other team had that ended up winning a title had at least RB4 so I would agree with your theory you need a Top 7 running back to have a chance at winning your league.
One of the best fantasy football strategy videos I have seen: I am in a 2QB superflex keeper where the top 6 QBs are all kept. We have a college draft and I have Bowers as one of my keepers. I am going to top 6!receiver, then try to grab a 7-12 rb and am going to try to draft 3 QBs in the 12-24 range. One with upside. Looking at Ferguson now and hoping him or bowers pan out. Thank you for tightening up my strategy.
Jaylen Wright is my favorite true handcuff RB this year for multiple reasons. 1) Wright is a handcuff to two RBs: Mostert and Achane. Mike McDaniel likes using at least two RBs. If either one goes down, Wright has high upside. 2) He plays in a highly efficiency offense. Even if he is only getting 12-15 touches a game, he can provide massive upside. Mostert only averaged 15.6 touches a game last year, he missed two games and he still finished as the RB2. Devon Achane only averaged 11.8 touches per game, and he was the RB4 on a points per game basis. (I used half PPR scoring for those rankings) 3) Wright is a great fit in that offense. He has the type of speed that McDaniel loves. Even if you don't pick a Dolphins RB, he's worth grabbing just because of the upside that he has.
I have always been against drafting a QB early but after the last 2 seasons of having QB issues and noticing the teams in my league that won had a Top qb, I’m going top 5 qb early. I want that consistency in production.
definitely interesting how top 6 wr meshes w/ 7-12 rb in rounds 1-2. which also matches past videos about balanced approach as this implies wr1 first round and rb second round
Definitely change Dameone Pierce for Cam Akers now. Sadly Pierce is done. Cam Akers is looking electric again. I would pick him up in case of a Mixon injury.
No BS, i walking through the plant at work bout to get into my daily fantasy help info at exact same time you say at work. Always listening to you at work brother, love your content and the MASSIVE amount of help you have given out. Much love!
Watching a video during lunch break I would like to have a free football guide if I can thank you thank you for all the knowledge that you guys gave us and provide us thank you so much
I rode waivers all last year. Granted I did get lucky and pick up Puka, Kyren and I hit on a few big games from random flyer, it’s wasn’t enough against those guys that came into the draft prepared. I’m coming in ready this time 😤
Good job showing the Kicker and Defense picks as well. Regardless of what a lot of channels say, K's and D's are important parts of your team for points. When a Defense gets a Pick 6 it matters in fantasy and in real life. Look at how many Kickers have won games for teams, in both fantasy and real life, many times with time running out. #GETJAKESOMEWATER.
I love the team you put together with the 4th pick. This approach helps to ensure you get a foundational pick at each of the big 4 positions which is a very smart approach.
In only one of your mocks, you had a backup QB. Whether it's the threat of injuries, bad weather, bad matchups, or covering your ass on bye weeks, a backup QB is a necessity - especially in bigger leagues. Other than that, your strategy is close to mine.
I drafted Nick Chubb no.3 last year and he only played 1 full game. Later I traded for Ekeler while he was injured and he never fully recovered and was out or low scoring for the majority of the season. 2 top 6 RBs in 2023 greatly skewed the averages due to injury.
Seems to always be that way, and it makes the data Jake gave...on point. I started fantasy a few years back, and I can remember that (what happened to you) happening every year with the 1-6 RB: Jamal Charles, David Johnson, Todd Gurley, Peterson, etc. and so on.
Ironically I won the championship with the running back pair he used at the beginning in my ten-man league. My receivers were Tyreek, JJ, and Amon ra tho.
I've watched this video now 10 times.....I'm definitely in trouble if my league-mates find this and "Turbo charge" their Fantasy Football Lineups...Next check is on the way in my petition to get these videos to not be posted publicly...All the Data and information here is definitely the bee's knees!
