Thank you Nyadzisai. Yes you can use the method even for men, as long as you use the correct waist and hip measurements.

Hey QUE. Have you ever made pyjamas? Can you help me? My name is Christina and I don’t like the way they make women’s pyjamas. I like loose and comfortable ones. I am a 33 inch waist hips. 35 thigh 20 crotch 8.5. I do not know how much I have to add to make them loose and where to add. I like men’s pajamas cause they are loose and very comfortable. So I hope you can please help me PLEASE. I IWSH I COULD TALK TO YOU CAUSE I DO LOVE THE WHY YOU DO TEACHING.

How much design ease would you add for a pair of fitted (not too tight) pants from this block?

For fitted pants you add no ease at all

Why aren't allowance made for the waist band. Time a 2" or 1.5" waistband is added it would make the pants higher on the waist.

Hi Veronoca. It is assumed the waistband will be drafted using the basic pants block like in this video "Drafting a perfect waistband - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KNlkb7bH3ho.html". Otherwise if you want to put a straight waistband you then have to cut out the 1.5" or 2" to accommodate the waistband.

Thanks Femi. If you cut a waistband and attach it to the pants, they become high waist. However if you do not want them to be a high waist, you can cut a waistband on the pants, following the method in this video: Drafting a perfect waistband - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KNlkb7bH3ho.html.

how do you calculate crouch extension on back pattern? you added i 2 nches

You simply multiply the croutch extension at the front by two to get the extension for the back.

@@candacedobbins6931 Hi Candace, I think I misunderstood what Susan was asking. When creating the back crouch line, you add 2 inches from where the front crouch line ends, then extend the line by the 2 inches.
