PA here! That is a 3/10th cc(cubic centimeter) syringe. So it’s not 90 cc’s of fluid it’s 90 units (almost 1 cc)or about 1/5 of of a teaspoon (which would be 5 cc’s.)Otherwise, great work dad 😊
Thank you so much for the kind words! I actually work in the ER of a hospital so I ran it past a few doctor friends of mine to confirm the correct procedure. However, I had already heard about the basic concept from other wrestling parents. Apparently few actually ever tried it themselves. Their loss! Thanks again for your support!
The ear will still be a bit swollen and you’ll never get it all. We just get out the bulk then treat the rest with ice and ibuprofen if needed. And we have gone back up to 3 times since then when it got really swollen. I’ll see if I can post a follow up video on it.
There’s no need for a surgeon. It’s a simple procedure one can do at home. The ear was sterilized with an alcohol wipe and the needle is sterile. But being able to do it is another thing!
