Yes, this is true I learn from you more than school .. Especially these small things that make the difference .. I love watching your videos You are the best teacher ever
What great information. At 64 I thought I knew a lot but in 5 mins, super informative. Fantastic! I now need your book and a new model. Liked, shared and signed up. Only found yor videos today. Addicted now. xx
Love the glitz! "No darts" is a great idea! Why ruin that gorgeous fabric?! There has NEVER been a video by Nick that I haven't learned from. His teaching technique is amazing!!! Thanx Nick!
Hi Nick, OMG I simply enjoy your video. Thank you so much for sharing with us. I know im lol a late comer but dating myself, I grew up watching Trippon (sew whats new) he was such an inspiration in my early years as a designer and now I feel a breath of fresh air having found your video and I plan on getting your books. BRAVO 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I'm really impressed. I'm just a sewing enthusiast and I've only sewn a couple of bad dresses, hoping to learn every day a bit more. I didn't expect to find this today. This is art. No, it's magic.
I began to learn sewing when I was 15 from my mother and a class at school. Later in life I took a class in college on Fashion design and pattern drafting. I bought your book at B&N and I enjoy reading it. I am looking forward to your next book. I appreciate that you have shared your experience(s) and knowledge of sewing (+ your tips & tricks ) with me in your book and these videos. Thank you, Nick .🤓
This is literally one of the best channels i’ve stumbled across! Had SO many gaps in my fashion education (clearly) and could never find the right textbooks to help fill them in. Thank you Nick! These lessons make the hustle for my own brand so much easier!
Addicted To Style Are you kidding me...Who says its not in the pipeline? You berra enjoy while it lasts. So many started free and slowly go into 'buy my book or give you a teaser and the 'payment subscription to my website'.
Thank you I am a fashion student at my local community college, most of my ADAM program classes have been via zoom, I have taken pattern drafting, fashion history, fashion sketching, design and construction haven't taken the draping classes yet, your demonstration gives me a better sense of the draping pattern technique Gracias, Senor Nick
I have a Master's Degree in Fashion Design, I have learned more from videos like this and Pinterest than I did in school, wish I could get my money back !
There was only one person who made me feel comfortable to learn sewing. I enjoyed sewing so much and she made it fun. That was nearly 30 years ago. But today I was looking to find out how to get back into sewing and you popped up. After watching you, I felt like a did back then. Excited, hopeful and eager. The only time I took my eyes off your video was to type this post. Lol. Can you be my tutor? ♥
I've tried. This is a really difficult one. But it's a matter of practice. This tutorial is very well explained and shown. Thank you Nick. I will try again until i'm satisfied.
You are awesome. I love all your videos. You are an amazing teacher. What i remember most from your videos is to allow the material to be comfortable. I have ordered a mannequin today. i will try out this pattern next week. once its ready i will post a link so you can see the outcome of my efforts. I have learnt a lot from you. Thank you for all your videos.
Oh Nick you have just enlighten me on what to do with those darts in the misses size blouse patterns I'm using for my 8 year old grand daughter. She looks very mature for age. I thought the darts would excenturate the situation.
Hi Nick, thank you so much all of your teaching. This particular tip saved me. I was making my daughter’s prom dress. I didn’t know how to remove darts from the sequin fabric and I was search the RU-vid when I came across your videos. I was so happy and thankful. And I have watched all of your videos with so much of invaluable information. Thank you so much again.
Omg you are so amazing! I wish you were my fashion teacher when I went to fashion school. I learn more from your videos than I did at school. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, you make draping fun. You definitely should write anothet book but a pattern making book or something, I would so buy it!
30 seconds into watching this video, I was beyond excited. Love your energy and how passionate you are about your fabric types, patterns, and detail on how to work with them!
First can I say thank you! You get to the point and you’re very clear in explaining plus you tell us everything without skimping because you want us to buy a class, book, etc. in order to learn. AMAZING 🙌😅
I just ordered 2 of your books and can't wait to get them. Today I was thrift store shopping for yardage for toiles. I passed several gowns with those printed pastiles. As they were in the area $5 a bag, I'm going back Fri to pick them up (if they are still there) to try this. I've never worked with that material.
What I said is not a compliment it is truth, in other words you are very talented. Purposefully I bought your book 3 days ago and I'm finishing reading it. It is very good, excellent. Thank you. God bless you.
I love you Man, you explain everything so well, and tell why it makes a difference, which sticks in my mind better that way! You are ADORABLY FUNNY, I'm definitely going to get your book and as far as that goes any book you write, but I can not Thank YOU enough for you doing these videos, you are very generous, and it makes it easy watching you and all your amazing easy instruction. Thank you again!!!!
Glad I found this, very inspiring, I love sewing but have been away from it for years, to be able to make a pattern by draping fabric gives me hope that I who is virtually between a beginner and intermediate home sewer might be able to acheive wearable clothing.
I've learned draping Technics in my school but everything was with dart so i am really happy to learn draping without dart and it feels so easy to learn from u.. thanks for making it so easy for us to understand. Love your teaching skills alot. You are simply great 😊❤️👍 thank you for sharing your skills with us
Thank you Nick , Im glad to have found your channel and learning every day . Im planning on creating my own label and clothes designed by myself maybe in 2-3 years time in God's timing but in the meantime I'm learning skills and new knowledge from you every day. So thank you.
I'm going to FIT in the Fall with no real prior experience in draping, so your videos make me feel so much better about diving into this whole career path. Thank you so much, sir!
you are such a great teacher I never had a chance to attend a fashion school but by watching you makes me feel like am attending RU-vid University lol thank you for sharing your great tips & skills am on my way of self teaching myself by watching you
Thank you so much Nick Verreos, this really help me a whole lot. I once made a mistake draping neckline with bias( same design as yours) Won't let that happen again. All your videos are really helpful.
