At the start I was so confused when you started cutting the sections out. But once you start taping them down I understood how you would cut the pattern out with the extra fabric to drape. What an awesome technique. 💖

I think I would have put the grain line more parallel to the non gathered side seam where it is important to have strength and an area which will not stretch. This allows the gathered side to be closer to the bias which will allow the fabric to form more easily. Do you agree??

I just found your videos the other day. You are so inspiring! This video is exactly what I was looking for! I struggle with patterns, as I'm a 6'3" (Kibbe soft dramatic). I cannot get a dress form that works, because of my height. So all patterns have to be lengthened from shoulders to bust, then from bust to waist, then hem length. Seriously, who wants the waist of the dress around the bust line??!! Then trying to make it drape nicely without the dress form? Thank you so much! This video really, really means a lot to me! I would love to see more soft dramatic or grecian style tutorials without a dress form. Also, it would be very helpful if you included how to make your patterns for us tall ladies! (How much extra fabric needed, and how to figure that out. Actually, a video specifically on how to deal with unusual size or physical issues would be fantastic!)) Thank you!!
I managed to use this process and it came out well but the sewing video would help a lot more just in case it's there's a technique for sewing drapes in place
