This video is old but good! make to check my other drawing videos. Join us as we draw a cat sitting using basic shapes and gesturing. Great for beginning artist. We take it step by step so you won't miss out.
Me: Finally… Grandma: You drew the cat?! Me: No just the tree circles. EDIT: 8/1/2022 For anyone reading the comments and confused on who “Shark Attack” is, it’s my old user. I’m also not correcting my spelling just because I think it’s hilarious how 4th or 5th grade me (I don't remember-) forgot to check for spelling errors. xD I also know how to draw circles now! >:D Anyways, thank you for reading and have a nice rest of your day/night! ^w^
I watched this when I was much, much younger, closer to when it first came out, and it (along with your other tutorials) was honestly what got me into drawing seriously, and gave me an escape from my less then ideal home life. Thank you for helping me become the artist I am today
hey, i just wanted to give a big thank you to the creator of this video. about 3 years ago, i picked up a pencil and paper, and decided that i wanted to be a serious artist, not just a non-sketcher, or a doodler. so i looked up “how to draw cats” and found this video. i used this video and the one on cats walking as a reference for ages, and i kept coming back to it every week. until one day, i could draw my own poses, i had my own art style, and i didn’t need the video anymore. this got recommended to me again, and i immediately got emotional. this video is the start of my artistically journey, the reason i started animating, the reason i even do anything after school in the first place. so thank you. thank you so much. this video means more to me than you’ll ever know. love, ShinyStoness.
My grandma has a cat with one eye, and she asked me to draw her cat, so this was very helpful thank you! By the way my grandma is a amazing artist so she challenges me to draw her things a lot.
It baffles me that this was posted eight years ago. This was the single video that began my passion for art. I know you’ll never see this but you are the reason I got into art. Your videos worked wonders and I’m thankful for you!
10 years ago- Wha- Holy f- I was searching for a quick cat drawing easy tutorial.... Most of them what I found were very "cartoonish/childish" I wanted a basic sketch just like this! Only this video met my expectation. Time and again, just proves that old is gold! (I still can't believe it's a 10 yr old video, back then I didn't even know what RU-vid was)

Thank you so much, this is a great tutorial, I've had a pet cat for six years and I always struggle with drawing them but your tutorial helped so much!
Here i am, watching during my spare time while also trying to motivate myself to draw. - a random female in over 10000K people on youtube atm. PS: This isnt a joke LOL
I have a weird drawing thing I do I hold my pencil in my fist instead of using my finger tips... let’s make a game! Try to guess how many teachers have tried to fix my grip on the pencil!
also... if i trace of something but dont take the credit of course,.. but if i trace over something and keep tracing over the thing im tracing over and i learn to draw it on my own would that be cheating? because i honestly think it just makes it where my hand gets use to drawing it i just wanted to make sure..
Just a hint, I was the same way with circles, I found if you hold your finger further up the pencil and draw very lightly using your whole arm instead of your wrist, the circles come out much better!
Thank you my husband is laid up after surgery so I said let’s do drawing together. His pics look great mine not so much. So I am sneaking extra practice! Big help.
Hello! Today my teacher, and your art friend i'm sure, Mr Pintek, showed us this video. Don't listen to what other people said about your drawings. They're great!
Me: it so fast i put on playback speed 0.5 Her laugh: ha ha ha ha ha ha Me: *patiently waits for her laughing to stop* Her: ha ha ha ha 2000 years later Her: ha ha ha ha ha hha Me: *sighs* ._.
+Art ala Carte hi I iis I LOOOOO88VE UR VIDEOSE BUT I WAS WONDERING IF YOU COULD DO ONE OF ADVENTURE TIME IN LIKE U KNOW THE WAY U MAKE IT LOOK RELISTIC😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😉😉😉
Two years ago, this Video started my love for art. I looked up tutorials for drawing cats, since I had joined the Warrior Cats amino most recently. I really admired the other artist's drawings, and I wanted to know how they did that. I would have never guessed how far this video would lead me. I am still using the three circle technique to this day, reminding me of that little Warrior Cats Fan I used to be.
@@oz8464 I did! I don't really draw cats that much anymore, but this will always stay in my memories. Thank you for your sweet note! My Instagram is @Nanu.kanal if you are interested in seeing my art stuff ;D
What a sweet, lovely voice you have and this was so fun to draw! I've been suffering with Stuck Song Syndrome and decided to look up some beginner drawing lessons to use a different part of my brain in hopes the Stuck Song Syndrome will stop and this helped! I enjoyed how you teach also and you have such a lovely sense of humor! May you have all the success you deserve and thank you
Wow, I see the hate in the comments... But you're actually really good! Many of these haters are probably kiddies who cant draw anyway so don't feel down about it, you helped me and im really grateful for that! :D Subscribed. COME AT ME KIDS. BOUNCE OFF MY SHIELDS OF POSITIVENESS YOU CANT BREAK IT WITH YOUR NEGATIVITY! X3
Arcticwolflover AJ That certainly makes a change :) Im used to most kids on RU-vid being troll and haters so its good to meet a normal one for a change
Subscribed! I love this motion movement drawing, I never get my first lines where I want them, but doing a sketch with this technique is liberating. At least one line will be in a good position, and I can erase all the others. Truly thrilled with this, watch out bedroom walls, I just may sketch and paint you!
Dears, Thank you for thos video I'd really enjoyed it. As a suggestion, will it be possible to do the exact same type of tutoriel drawing but with different cat position (playing, chasing, rolling on the back...). I really like the style and the explanation, and I'm having really a hard time founding tutoriel for other cat position. But if you do not have the time I totally understant ! No matter wants, thanks for this video ! Have a good day !
+Pauline Faure I am so glad you enjoyed it. I do have a playlist that features all my cat tutorials. I hope you will find others to enjoy. I will try to upload more cat videos in the future.
Lol we got people doing circles when I’m here like Me: ok, I should do it like other people and draw a circle and more circles Me: *cant even draw a circle without the pencil going everywhere* Me: I’m just gonna follow the line...
I want to thank you. Because of your video I'm now this good at drawing. Thank you so much for showing your talent to all of us and helping me become as good at drawing as I am today :)
I thought it would be really hard to draw a cat but as this video proves, it was really easy! I also like that she leaves the face to you and she lets you do whatever you want with the tail, it really makes me feel like I am not just totally copying some one else’s drawing!
I looked up this video in 2015, almost nine years ago as we are approaching 2024. Earlier this year I got to go to a Gold Key awards ceremony for winning a gold key on my artwork. always remember where you come from. Never forget that I began here.
Art ala Carte: *Draws an elegant cat* Me: *Draws a sassy molly* Also me: "Amazing! These look- absolutely nothing alike..." *laughs loudly* (Thank you so much! These really helps my drawing skills and confidence!)
