Usually longer tutorials are boring and not really useful, but this was amazing. I sat through the entire thing, and even though i draw eyes a lot, the way you explained things made them so much easier to do because you are looking at them not as if you are trying to draw a specific part of the eye, but they're just shapes and lines that come together to form something great. Amazing job, man. You are one of my favorite artists. keep up the good work :)

in my opinion first try to learn the basic eye just 2d then come there buddy. try and do i took 6 months on regular basis to reach here you may take less but first learn basic eye

I just drew one following the tutorial, I sure wish I would have asked what supplies and paper type he used, I used sketch paper and it was pretty tough. It still came out alright for my first charcoal drawing.

Darrell Hanshaw I cheat when I draw! lol I use graphite, gray and black colored pencils, graphite and colored pencil blenders, and fine pointed sharpie marker! lol turns out alright though! I'm not the best artist! I dont even consider myself as an artist! 💓

That's not cheating. That's your way of drawing. Cheating is tracing over another artist's drawing and claiming it as their own. If you free hand another person's drawing to get practice out of it. That's okay too as long as you don't claim the drawing u replicated as your own. I use a #2 pencil, blue pen, pink pen and black ball point pen to do my drawings. I like it for myself. That's my style :)

I am using a brush and dipping it in charcoal powder that is off to the top left of the drawing. It is off screen but all I did was run a charcoal stick over a piece of paper from my sketchbook and used the powder on the sketchbook as my technique of drawing.

Sabrina Hilton he said it's an electric eraser and it's used to make even brighter highlights than using an regular eraser, for example: the white shine in the eyes, the highlighted details of the face.

This is absolutely amazing!! Really really great tutorial. FINALLY someone explains how to draw eyelashes, other than just saying they're random - really grateful for that. Thank you so much for posting this how to video. A stunning ending. I can't do that with charcoal, I know how hard it is to work with - well it's hard for me. I really don't know how some people disliked this video, it doesn't make sense. Great job!

Answering questions: I am using Bristol paper, I have tried other types of paper and haven't seem to come across something as smooth as bristol paper.

Thanks heaps for this tutorial it is by far the best one on here it was the one that got to where I am now when I started out drawing which was a year before this video I was so crap and now if I draw something it looks so real the eyes look like their going to wink and it was all because of this video because so much was shared on how to do the very fine details and what you need to use so again thank you very much it is such an awesome video I love the music.

different technique than what I generally see.That is the beauty of art, seeing different techniques for the same results. I am going to have to try and use the brushes and charcoal powder in my next eye drawing. I have always just used blending stumps, and pencils, with everything else being pretty much the same. Good work.

I can never tape my drawings down. Maybe it's Me being left handed, but I have to be able to manipulate the paper as I draw. Awesome work man! I don't know what it is but something about the eyes makes them my favorite thing to draw.
