Beautiful, but poppies have only 4 to 6 petals!!!. Therefore you haven't drawn a poppy.

Actually, some of the petals just happen to be folded over and covering others, so you don’t actually see the entire petal all at once. I based this drawing off of a literal reference photograph of a 6 petal “Orientale Orange Scarlet” poppy that I took myself at a next door neighbors house, so I do not believe I’m mistaken in this case.
