For those of you who don’t have the “Grid Repeat” option you can still create a square pattern by using the “Transform” effect. 1. Create a small square and make sure it is selected. 2. Go to Effect > Distort and Transform > Transform. 3. Change the “Copies” = 20, and the “Move > Horizontal” = 35 4. Click OK 5. Go to Effect again > Distort and Transform > (choose “Apply New Effect”) 6. This time change the “Copies” = 10 and the “Move > Vertical” = 35 7. Click OK 8. Select everything, go to Object and choose > Expand Appearance 9. Go to Object one more time and choose > Expand 10. Finally right click with your mouse and choose “Ungroup”. Repeat "Ungroup" command a couple times. I hope this will help! Thank you for watching!
